Yes, the point remains that there is zero link to wealth and IGR.

So you know the rate so what's your argument. Poverty is measured as a rate and 24.9/% is a value. A value simply means a number assigned to a calculation or measurement

You could have edited this thing too…
My 16 year old brother will read this and curse Nigerian education..

This is embarrassing.

While the paper does not reflect you ideas, if you want me to discuss the paper with you, don't give me a clip or snapshot. That's not how I was educated. Link me to a complete article and then ask specific questions. You can pick a point from the article and ask me a direct question.

Lol you have comprehension issues

How does the igr or Ogun benefit a typical Ogun man on the street?

Igr is only beneficial if the government is doing something with it

For now its completely irrelevant

HDI is one of the most important way of checking how a region not igr bravado

Again, if you read your clip, you would find out that other factors are mentioned. Distribution of wealth is one and that directly corolates with poverty. Also, development index are mentioned so when I ask about the number of out of school kids you should take that very serious.

How does a common man benefit from it

Even Anambra has even more government investment than Ogun

Look at their airport a big disgrace

Na even Chinese , India and Lebanese companies self not even indegenous investments or PPP
Thier only saving grace is Lagos which is a collective effort of everyone

Check the latest GDP ranking SE states like imo, Anambra beating Thier states

How is south west 32.5m when Lagos alone is almost that figure? The figures don't even add up to 200m meaning it's no where near recent

Nigeria has a poverty problem not an IGR problem. You are a distraction to the Nigerian issue.
You are also dishonest and hollow. To accuse me of putting up building images really showed the kind of person you are. Trust me, after today, you wouldn't see many people holding to your IGR argument anymore. I hope we have less of your kind and more people who are serious about the Nigerian problem.

I have a lot of very intelligent people from his tribe in my circle and they would agree that standards are falling in the SW. The SE is not impressive either. 49% poverty is way too much. But when you factor that the SE was the poorest region in Africa with about half it's children suffering from malnutrition, then it begins to look like a miracle.

But Anambra has a far better poverty rate. Which do you prefer Richer government and poorer people or poorer government and richer people.
This is a case of big government.
If nbs assessment is anything to go by then Anambra is poorer than Oyo.

Oga I am sure you did not realize that your screenshot was from 2019. Again you said you were done with the debate but I always knew you are dishonest. You have no shame nor integrity. You spent the last 2 hours looking for just anything to prove your point and all you could come up with is a 2019 snapshot. I am ashamed for you.

Are you mad? When did I say I was done with the debate? Can you quote where I said that if you weren't the dishonest one and a desperate liar? 2 hrs? What has that got to do with a thread that's still on? Not everyone sits by the phone like you. In the 2 hours I had to do other things.

If the data is from 2019, that's four years ago. Do you then accept that Anambra was poorer than Oyo then? If Anambra has a slight edge today, that neans you've been playing catch-up as usual and tomorrow Oyo can still go back to its rightful position. wink

2019 is 4 years ago haba. Now the SE was the poorest region in 1970 by 2019 they were the 3rd best and in 4 years they are the least poor. That tells you the entire story. Yes, Oyo can one day become the least poor state but not with people like you. It takes people to admit there is a problem and seek out solution. If you are so poor yet your IGR is very big, then you need to hang your governors. But you obviously don't understand these things. I root for the entire nation. I pray we as a people would some day overcome poverty but it would never happen with the kind of leaders we have.

What made Anambra so poor 4 years ago that its poverty rate was almost 1.5 that of Oyo? And what has happened between then and now to put it ahead within 4 years? That's bullshit. Like I told another dishonest fellow like you yesterday, you can fake your gdp and poverty rate but igr is something hard to fake. Governors would rather give lower values for IGR than give accurate values. IGR is a pointer to how well your economy is doing. It means the economy of the south east is largely unorganized and smaller than what is given. You are the same person that said California was poorer than Texas. grin Even an idiotic child who knows one or two things about America should know without checking that California is richer than Texas.

Yes, the East can rise one day and become the best place in the world but not with specimens like you who don't ask questions and just want to gloat.
