Even though Orwell wrote it primarily as a criticism of socialism, I've always loved the dystopian world he built around the book and I particularly liked the female character Julia that survived by playing to the rules, being smart, strategic and calculative.

Mercy has all these qualities and I will always support her.

Mercy is also true to her womanhood. She isn't trying to be unnecessarily stoic or present a masculine-esque emotional persona like some female housemates like to do. She may be manipulative but she isn't presenting a fake version of herself. She is real, just like Phyna was, and despite being rich and classy, the average Nigerian woman can relate to her.

In all of these, it's so clear who's right and who's wrong. But this show just teaches us how humman beings interpret things morally. What's right or wrong depends on what benefits you or who you love (in the case of this show.

Right from the very beginning, CeeC has been in the wrong here. If Doyin was the one in this CeeC situation, everyone's fingers will be itching to kick her out of the house.

But it's CeeC, so Pere, Alex, Tobi and every other victim has to be the bigger person and withstand all the manipulation and bile without acting negatively at any point.
