If that's the only reason that was a concern and you have addressed it then you can go ahead if you feel you really need to travel . I would wait .
I hope you know you will still have a lump sum showing on your fcmb acct , don't know if it matters since it's from your other account but you may wish to explain the source if you still want to apply now
Saving in am acct for visa purposes does not mean you can't withdraw , just ensure the expenses are not so much so that it does not affect your disposable income .

quote author=Jayyjay post=124839649]Thank you for responding. I asked because the issue for denial raised by ECO has changed, I was denied because my funds were in a virtual foreign account not a bank and I am now using a fcmb dom account that now has all the funds in the previous account with June and July's salary.
2. Is it a red flag if I haven't been withdrawing from the account as I have been saving my salary since May?

If you don't withdraw, it should ordinarily not be a red flag. However, with your previous refusal, it might appear that you are "deliberately" padding your account. You are expected to run your account normally and then present a true picture of your finances.

Pls my family and I submitted our visa application on the 25th of July.

We got collection mail for my husband and 2 kids. Didn’t get for me and 1 child.

Is this normal given that we submitted as a family? When do I expect for the other kid and I

It happened to my family. Nothing to worry about. The others will most likely get the visa and the dates on the visa will most likely be the same.

If an applicant gets a ban, Will that person get his or her IHS refund or the person should kiss it bye bye.

You get a refund of IHS. Visa fee is gone.

I applied for a visiting visa for myself and kids which we received after about two weeks. One of my kids has a US and Nigerian passport. Please I want to confirm from those that might have done so if she can travel out with one (US passport) and return with another (Nigerian passport)?

Please, I need advice on an urgent matter.

My brother applied for a 6-month UK visa around mid-July as a first-timer. He picked up his passport today, but the duration on the visa vignette affixed to his passport is more than the six months he paid for. The visa runs from September 2023 to September 2025.

Do you guys think he should inform UKVI or he should stay silent and continue to use it? Has this happened to anyone before?

Do you guys think they will discover this later?

He should not keep quiet. Instead prove himself to be a honest person by informing them. Technically, there is every possibility that it get discovered later, so be on the safe side.

If you paid for 6 months and were issued a 1 week visa you would raise a complaint right and probably pull down the gate housing the High Commission… But won’t do so in this situation and want us to tell you if he should ‘stay silent and continue to use it’? Okay o.
Your only problem is if he will be discovered later and not about the mistake that has been made. Good luck Sirs.
Every time you or this your brother gets to the boarder you will be shitting in your pants because you can’t tell if your lack of honesty has been discovered when the immigration officer starts drilling you. I can see you don’t like your blood pressure.

He will need to go back to the TLS office with the first page of his document check list and his passport on Monday .

There are 3 possible outcomes

1. They cancel it and print him the 6 months vignette .
2. Ask him to pay the difference .
3. Give him free .

If he decides to keep it and not take it back , if it was a printing error , the system may show it's expired after the 6 months expires. Usually at the point of entry , they check the vignette and also.scam the passport .

My daughter applied for a 2 yrs visa and got a collection mail today but she is yet to pick up her passport . She did her biometrics on the 17th of July .
I sincerely hope no error will be made cos it appears they have been making errors of late .

I paid for 10 yrs and 6 months was issued even though another one was printed when I returned it .
The influx of student visa applications may be causing this, I would advise everyone waiting for collection to check their passports before they leave the TLS office .

Thank you. He is afraid to take it back because he is scheduled to travel on the 15 of August, and he doesn't think he will get back the passport before his travel date on 15 of August. He bought his ticket already and is nonrefundable.

Can he travel now and alert them when he gets back in September?

Someone shared a few pages back, a similar case (paid for longer term visa & was issued 6months) and it took 2 days to rectify.

It's better to do this before using it.

He will get it back he has enough time , the moment he uses it they won't know his intentions after he has travelled .

I dropped off mine at abt 2.40pm on the 17th of July and got a call that it was ready for collection at about 10.05am on the 19th of July .
