HND holders can't secure admission to MSc directly anywhere in the world, better do a HND-BSc conversion in Nigeria now, I'm also a HND graduate and I have started my conversion program, hoping to finish next year August then I will start my Japa plans properly.

Which school are you doing the HND conversion?

Southwestern University of Nigeria, it's 4 semesters done in a Year, I started this month and I will finish next year July.
SUN is NUC accredited and globally recognized. The University has campuses in Sagamu and Ikeja.

Just google Conversion program in Southwestern University of Nigeria and you will get all the information you need, though a bit expensive but you can pay in installments.

This statement is actually not true, with HND, you can get a direct admission to MS and even PhD in the US so far you have at least 3.0/4 GPA some schools even accept from 2.75/4. In fact, I have like 5 MS admissions and 1 PhD admission right now that I'm not planning to see through because I wasn't offered full scholarship which I believe is as a result of my low performance in GRE

Lies!! Who told you this? I have people who are studying in UK and US with their HND, don't let it look as if HND is a Crime.
babakb:

Hmmm, I really don't mean to discourage you but I have gone through this phase before that's why I resorted to HND-BSc conversion.

Even with many years of experience and PGD you won't be given admission directly to an MSc program.

But with a taught Masters you're good to go, I decided to do the conversion so that I will bury the HND Certificate and move on angry angry angry

Only very few Universities in UK and US accepts HND for Masters directly, the rest of the world doesn't accept HND for MSc so what's the point, besides it's better to convert to a BSc, this will enable you to study to PHD level if you so wish.
Why limit yourself to very few Universities in UK and US when you can just convert to BSc and have the option of going for Masters anywhere in the world.
HND is not a crime but a serious mistake.
The whole of Europe, Shenghen, Asia, South America, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and even Africa doesn't accept HND for MSc,

I'm an HND graduate too so I ain't discriminating!!!
It's time to face the reality, convert your HND to BSc and move on wink wink wink

My dear Sis/ Bro, try to make research before you conclude and how many European countries have you applied to for you to jump into conclusion? Schools in Germany, Spain etc.. do accept HND for direct masters, recently my course mate got admission to south Korea with full finding (HND holder) just make sure you apply with your ND and HND transcript and back it up with your work experience. Don't limit yourself , do your homework properly.

I saw a post where someone said the response from your school in France is key to the speed of visa approval. Maybe contact your school to speed up things? I plan to do the same

How possible is that? Most of the schools have closed for summer break and won’t resume until the last week of August.

I said someone said it, I don't know for sure but it sounds logical. Besides a school being on break doesn't mean some administrative staff are not available for enquiries.

I know my issue is not that related but I'm having an issue here.
I work in a company and we deal in cash.
There's no way I'm able to provide payslips and a statement of account to back it up.
I have a sponsor that is sponsoring everything for me though.
Pls will this affect my chances of getting visa?

There's something called salary certificate that states you were paid in cash. You can request it from your employer.
Anyhow since you have a sponsor, you won't be needing that.

Even your study Visa is not guaranteed grin grin grin
But if you secure a study permit, go, if you're single pick a citizen there and marry her, period.

I know but it's better to do the right things from ur home country.
Should I gamble with something that is costing my sponsor over 25 million?

I went for my vfs appointment and biometrics on August 1st and did submissions and visa payments that day. Today August 9th I got an email that my processed passport has been sent to ups for dispatch to me. It's really quite fast o but I don't know what to think like this, does the quick processing meaning anything weird? I'm really scared and don't know what to expect

I want to ask if I can use my cousin, who is based and works in the US, as my sponsor. Also, what are the documents he needs to provide, and how do I fill out the financial guarantor form?
