Laycon didn't provoke Erica. Erica was simply obsessed with Kidd. In fact, Laycon was the person whom Erica vented to, apart from using him to make Kidd jealous whenever she was angry at Kidd. She would tell Laycon that Kidd was unintelligent and immature whereas Laycon was more mature than him. In fact, she didn't turn down Laycon outrightly but continued to flirt with Laycon to use him to make Kidd jealous. She had even attacked Wathoni at one time because of Kidd. She couldn't attack Nengi but would rather go meet Laycon to vent and flirt with Laycon in her bid to make Kidd jealous.

That was Until Laycon started to withdraw from her after his friends advised him that Erica was only using him to make Kidd jealous and didn't like him like he was deluded. On a more serious note, the older HMs ought to mentor the younger ones irrespective of perceived competition. Baye is mostly over the top "in your face" kinda way, but can honestly be forgiven for misplaced youthful exuberance.

As a matter of fact, Erica did try to kiss Laycon who turned her down. Laycon wasn't even blackmailing Erica nor maligning Erica's name. He only said Erica liked him every time the housemates tried to wake him up. Laycon then added that Erica tried to kiss him to buttress his delusional point about Erica liking him. There was one (I think Neo) who even said he didn't want to mention the intimate thing Kidd and Erica had been doing, so Laycon should just wake up.

It was Laycon withdrawal since she couldn't find anyone to use to flirt to make Kidd jealous that caused her rage.

There was never a mention of whom they are going to stop separating should in case a fight surface. The final decision to stop separating them happened when Ilebaye and Angel had a go. They decided they won’t separate the girls generally when any fight happens.
