Hello guys. I will appreciate a response.
Please, i am looking at doing my upfront medical with IOM but my passport is going to expire by feb 2024 and i will most likely start my visa application by November/December for May 2024 Conestoga.
I have started my passport renewal but IOM is asking for my passport number. Do i use the old one or wait until my passport is ready before i start my medical?

Thank you.

Please use the passport you have now to apply.

Please do I need a transit visa to enter Frankfurt? My stop overs are Ethiopia/Germany then Toronto? Because I tried checking in online and it keeps asking for German visa 🤷‍♂️

Ordinarily, one stop over in Europe does not require TV, but to put your mind at rest, please call the airline customer care to confirm.

Wow. Congratulations. Only very few go this route; applying for dependants while Primary Applicant is still in Nigeria. We may do same as well as soon as my spouse gets her PPR. Meanwhile, are you not applying to join your family? SOWP?

I will apply to joint my family after they get to canada

Get to Canada, before changing school. Change of school outside Canada will entail starting the visa application all over. Wait for the experts tol shed more light

This question has been answered severally here.
Enter Canada. Make sure you do. You must enroll first with your school in Manitoba. Then go to ircc website and switch dli. Some of the things you will need to upload include; LOA, enrolment letter, etc for school in Manitoba and LOA of school in Ontario.

Proceed with the passport you have now, and continue with the new passport. Our client used a new passport for visa stamping different from the one we use for the application

1. Phd require a supervisor, so getting one is not easy the reason people use the easy route which is MSc, Diploma and Post-graduate certificate etc
2. Yes and also your job security is a strong home tie
3. Don't try it, if you can stay away from your family for 2yrs then there is no point bringing them after your program, I would not recommend that because it is not easy bringing dependent after your program, you will just be PGWP holder.
4. No, you don't need to except that 12M is an outright deposit, opening balance is the day you printed from so whatever money is in your acct becomes your opening balance while Closing balance is the day you printed to, whatever money is in your acct becomes your closing balance

Most explanations I see only consider Masters of two years. A PhD is four years. Pls I got this questions;

1. For a PHd without funding, is showing two years tuition and one year living expenses sufficient?

2. Is the fact that my wife and 3kids are remaining in Nigeria and a study leave with pay from my employer enough to proof home ties?

3. After two yrs of study, can my wife join me and still get open work permit?

4. If my salary is less than 200k, must I explain the source of over 12mill in opening balance. (No any lumpsum within the 4months bank statement)

No, you don't need a transit visa, don't leave the place of accommodation provided for you by the airline, you will need if you want to enter the city

Do I have to get to manitoba first? Or I can do all this from Toronto?

If you have to compete your registration in the school physically, then you must go to the school. I will advise you go and be on ground and ask questions formally as well.

Good Morning guys, I submitted my passport to VFS on the 18th of July (3 weeks) but I am still yet to get any reasonable email from them regarding the status of my Passport. The last Message I go was that my Passport is still under process at the IRCC office and I received this mail on the 31st of July. My counterfoil status about the expiry of my Visa came was update on my IRCC Portal on the 4th of August which most likely means that my Visa has been stamped. I have reached out to VFS through the web chat, however, the customer representative that responded to me keeps giving me the same generic response i got for my last email. The question now is should i send more mails to VFS or go and visit them (Considering that i paid for my passport to be delivered) ?

P.S: I initially booked my flight for tomorrow but had to reschulde it to next week wednesday because of this issue.

I will appreciate your help guys.

The process is quite slow now, you should get another email that the passport has been sent to VFS Abuja, and then another email that is has gotten to Lagos if you submitted at Lagos. This when your courier can then pick it up. All these should happen between now and Monday.

450 - 500 will mostly give you a shared room. Not that it's impossible to get a private room with that budget, it'll take a lot of searching

Login into your profile you should see the status of your visa (Expiry Date) this mostly likely means that IRCC has stamped your Passport.

It's almost like these officers have closed for the year. No feedback for early and mid-July applicants. Also I hardly see PPRs here on the platform recently. These people should consider us

1. That's fine, once you can justify it. The 'purpose of visit' part of your LOE needs to be really convincing and personalized (i.e. should be specific to your experience and goals).

2. It should fly. Try work on your home ties too.
