The border guys won't allow you in because your reason you filled to enter Canada is no longer valid...

You can look for another similar conference,pay for registration and get a fresh invitatio that relates to your new date

That's how some folks where deceived and given fake visa the other day..That category of visa is only reserved for parents and grandparents of PR/Canadians.

Having said that, if he wants to relocate to Canada.
Either he comes through study route or marriage or he runs express entry or provincial nomination..there are other ways but that 5 yr visitor visa na comfirm scam.

I have seen someone an agent gave fake Canada visa, they fill fake information on the Visa form the will not allow you know , they ask you to go and thumbprint for biometrics, they fill their address on the form so that they will be the one to receive your passport after the embassy has deny you, then they will now put the fake visa on it and ask you to come that your visa is approved. Which Country is giving 5 years visit visa? This is a scam. Visitors don't work. It is only America that can allow you attend job interview with B1/2visit visa. He should look for small money travel there for three months visit. While there try to impregnate a citizen there who can now convert the visit visa to permanent resident.

Why can't he just try to get the Canadian job first right here from Nigeria and allow his employers to sponsor his Visa? I've seen many people gone through this route successfully with the right skills they've acquired.

For you to get a job in canada,you must look for jobs with LMIA ( Labour market impact assessment) It's a document that an employer in canada may need to get before hiring a foreign worker. If the company gives you this document after hiring you have to go to the border between US and Canada to change your visiting visa to a permanent resident. This is the only way you can work in canada. Truck driving is an example of LMIA job,if you have experience in truck driving then you will get a job in canada

I doubt if there's any established place in Nigeria where you can learn truck driving, never heard of it before.

Nigerians prefer doing things in a primitive way, they expect you to be a motor boy then from there you learn how to drive after wasting your time.
