FreeStuffsNG: With the new law that allows the state to participate in electricity market, what does it take for those state to come up with necessary legislation to take advantage of the new act? And why do you think everyone who ask logical question is not a Yoruba man? Many of you are too tribalistic to be engaged in logical and objective analysis. Too parochial in your thinking. The man chatting with you is a Yoruba man. |

FreeStuffsNG: I am a Yoruba man currently working and living in Delta state. I was working in Lagos state before job opportunity took me to Delta state. Nigeria is still a sovereign state and people can migrate out of their geopolitical zone to work anywhere without hindrance within the country. So when you talk about capable hands, even if there are no 'indigenes', Nigerians abound to do it, stop being tribalistically parochial. Try and understand the principle of a sovereign nation. 1 Like |

FreeStuffsNG: This article is not correct imho. You can simply build a power station close to an industrial area and commence running distribution lines. Talking about transmission lines within states is like talking about building trunk A roads within states. The whole point of liberalisation is moving away from expensive centralized transmissiin lines and focusing more on dispersed distribution. Transmission infrastructure is expensive. Power Transformers (different from distribution transformers) , towers, system protection. And it takes years to build and commission. But you can erect a 33kv feeder line in a matter of weeks. |

Collaboration with TCN? Nonsense! After uncountable number of years in operation, what is the transmission capacity of TCN today? Merely 4,000 megawatts!!! If the state governments are proactive, disciplined and visionary, they can build their own transmission infrastructure and also, generate 18 hours of power for their states everyday. |
