Both of you are actually right. West African CFA (XOF) is the one used in Cotonou and 7 other west African countries which is the one the OP referred to.

Central African CFA (XAF) used in Cameroon and 5 other central African countries. @BoldBrainz this is the one you received.

XOF has more value than XAF, hence, the disparity.

I only change money with any exchanger when I have to travel to Cotonou. I can't find contact to give you and later you have issues then drag me online inside what I don't know. You can find someone you trust to help you get to the border instead. I can't tell you to pay into my account and I will help you get when coming back.
