While Jonathan was not really the best at his job, the fact was a lot of lies were spewed out to tarnish his administration which led to the party's ouster.
For example, I remember Lamido Sanusi and this $40bn NNPCL missing funds saga. It was a blatant lie.

None of these happened under Obasanjo (who sadly joined in damning Jonathan by that Open letter)... Neither did ministers misbehave under an ailing Yar'adua.

Jonathan messed up a grand opportunity to keep the nation out of the hands of the evil of APC by allowing a corrupt PDP rock his boat... He was just too weak and indecisive.

When discussing the economy, I focus on the well-being of the average Nigerian. So, when comparing the economic stances of the PDP and APC, the key question is whether your life has improved since then or was it worse then and better now, as that should be the basis for your assessment.

PDP is the same as APC in membership but they were lucky to face less hurdles during their era. APC came on board when the oil world was on downward trend and then global recession followed by COVID-19. PDP appears better economically but it was just luck.

The major difference between APC and PDP is that Igbos were included in PDP government whereas APC treats Igbos like enemy. As a result of that mediocres are preferred where capable hands could have helped simply because the better guy is Igbo. PDP ran a national government

I never said the PDP was perfect.

But despite their imperfections, the Naira didn't take a nosedive as we have it today. Price of goods remained relatively stable throughout their days. Things were definitely better under the PDP and if you can't see it in the constant changing price of goods and services these days, then you're not living in Nigeria.

How much is the runway they are building that they will spend N825b to relocate people? It is not airport they are building o, ordinary runway, what is a runway, a runway is just a road for airplanes. What is the acreage of a runway and how many people occupy that space that you will give them $1b to relocate? Where will a government struggling for money get $1b to pay residents within 1 week, does it sound like the kind of sum a minister can just find lying around his ministry? You didn’t think of obasanjo mismanaging billions of dollars meant to provide power for Nigeria would have helped the economy you didn’t think of how Making sure all our refineries functioned well and at full capacity as well as building more you didn’t think of how all of that would have helped the present day economy. A country with oil exporting said oil to be refined abroad while importing said product and paying a subsidy on it shey it was pdp that was in control all that time . That’s the problem with Nigerians a lot of you lack depth of thought you just like to blab without thinking. The Naira taking a nose dive is something that is inevitable. The price of goods and services is always bound to increase, given that our economy is a dependant one and all our leaders lack vision.

I tell you this, no matter who is president or which party is at the helm of affairs, Nigeria would still have turned out worse because the simplest things we are suppose to do, we don't even do it.

Many projects were abandoned, many funds were stolen, in 8 years Jonathan PDP regime... dollar was 150 from the start... and ended in 197.8763 NGN after pdp finally year....

If we're talking of gross misconduct of subordinates, buhari fared worse but no one held him to account for that.
Security barely improved under Buhari as well.
The truth is PDP as a party were shell-shocked by the viciousness of APC that they've not been able to match it till today. Do you know APC criticized the deployment of soldiers to NE?
I mean just imagine someone doing that under APC and see how he will immediately be labeled enemy of state.
