Depends on what you need on phone, but left to me, I’ll go for iPhone 11.
If you’re buying Samsung , buy the latest or the one before, e get why..

For me, I'll go for the Samsung. It's a premium device with more features. You can also consider the old Samsung Note 10 plus of add money and get S20+

What about the whole screen line thing after an update issue
I would love to get the Samsung
But I no fit buy screen
I want to ask people in Nigeria if the screen issue also happens here cos I've seen a lot complaining about the s20+ and the green line after an update

If you just want to text, chat or watch movies then go for iPhone but if you want everything plus customisation then go for the Samsung.

Alright, Samsung is better in almost every aspect display, camera features, customisation e.t.c. about the screen issues, honestly i haven't seen none with that damage due to update. But if its actually the case and if you are going for a new one i am sure it has been fixed, the newer models won't have that issue.
I might be biased but I'll advise to go for the Samsung because its just better.

I am using an iPhone 11, which I can say I’m enjoying real fine.
Samsung is a very wonderful phone, but I didn’t go for Samsung because;
1. I’m a careless person and if I break the screen I can’t be looking for a 100k plus to fix screen.

2. Most android phones diminish in prices over time,

3. iPhones got good cameras and great video stabilisation

4. It works good with my MacBook.

Reasons why I miss android

1. Customisation
2. Less data consumption

The fact remains they are both good, it just depends on what you want.

iPhone 11 128gb variant mint condition will be around 280k to 300k
Why u will get s20 s20+ note 20 s20ultra s21 and s21+ all these are under 300k
If u can search enough and know how to price u can get s21ultra self for around 310k better than the iPhone 11

Get one with the latest update and use till you change phone.
Have you considered the Note 10+, that's a beast
