Obi and his dient people should know that 2023 election is not the first in this country and will not be the last. In every election, there will always be a winner and couple of losers.
Win right, win right Mr man.

Yes, and we are all equal stakeholders in Abuja FCT regardless of where you came from in Nigeria.
That is what the constitution says.
I have taken time to read some of your comments but later discovered you're contradicting yourself. If we are all having equal stakes in Abuja as FCT, that shows there is a special status for Abuja by this your comment. Except you will also claim we all have same stakes in Kwara, same in Jigawa, same Akwa Ibom and so on. You just repeatedly punched yourself with your comments unknowingly.

Quick to label Abuja a no man's land?

This life has no balance when politics, religion and culture are involved. Humanity is the loser at the end, especially the poor and the middle class.
Truly they were relocated but most of you guys don't know. Those that went to court last time where name Uche, Chinedu claiming Abuja indigene and the court fined them. They forgot that the core inhabitants were relocated and Abuja was a bush then.

since they have qualified them as a state, so they have the right to ask for a governor as well!

You don’t seem to understand. Again I say 90% of our problems is we don’t really understand English.

Where were they classified as a state? Even then what was classified to be treated “like” a state?

If you answer these questions you will realize that it is the territory not the inhabitants whether indigene or immigrant that was to be treated in the application of the constitution “as if ” or “like” it were a state. If you truly understand English you will know once it is said “as if “ or “like” the i”unambiguous inference is that it is “not” the same. You are like your brother is not the same as you are your brother. Treat him “like” your brother in fact implies explicitly that he is not your brother. If he was your brother, they wouldn’t say like your brother would they? They would say he is your brother. So the fact that “like” is used implies they are not the same. However in certain aspects you are requested to treat him as if he was your brother.

The fate of the indigenous people of the FCt has been sealed by the FCT decree of 1976. Please read I have shared the link to it in a previous post. FCT has been acquired and it belongs to the federal government not the indigenes, again please read the FCT act. They are to be compensated monetarily for their land, therefore they have no rights in the FCT anymore.

The FCT law also prescribes how the FCT is to be governed. It is to be governed by the president and the National Assembly, again read the act.

Going back to what is to be treated as if it were a state, it is the territory or the citizens or residents either whether indigenous or immigrants. The rights and laws of the federation apply to all residents of FCt equally whether you are indigenous or not.

Again I repeat, the only thing former FCT indigenes can lay claim to is the compensation they are owed under the law. Again, read the act. They have absolutely no say over the FCT that the man from Zaria, Ibadan, Onitsha or Calabar does not have.

They are displaced people by law and their land no longer belongs to them in all ramifications. That is why they were compensated or are to be compensated. You cannot be compensated or have the right to be compensated and then still claim rights and ownership. Like I said before, as far as the law is concerned, they are indigenes in name only just like our traditional rulers are kings in name only. That from which you derive the rights to be called an indigene or to preside over the affairs of the FCT or to be called King has been taken away from you or lost. That you are still recognized sentimentally as an indigene or King does not mean you have the rights and privileges that you once had.

Yes, Good step.

Since Abuja is just like any other state, they should be allowed to also produce Governors, and Senators.

This is what you get when people call black white. Abuja doesn't have special status, but they appoint fct minister instead of electing governors. They produce only one senator instead of 3,like any other state

Wicked law officials

Most of you guys don't know and your parent lied to you or they were not aware as well. Before 12 December 1991, the core inhabitants of Abuja were relocated and Abuja was a bush then. Those that later went to court last time where name Uche, Chinedu claiming Abuja indigene and the court fined them.

It is the constitution that gave Abuja special status and not any individual. You must obey the constitution for now. If this clause needs to be amended, then this can be looked into in the future. Let the rule of law prevail!

Maybe Biafra constitution gave that.

The judgement on this particular 25% issue and the double nomination were the most laughable of all the judgements.

The corrupt judges said that its should be referred to as a state. Oya where is the governor and what is the capital of FCT? They also ruled that shettima double nomination WAS NOT INTENTIONAL. Can you imagine? shocked shocked

And APC supporters agreed to such a fraudulent ruling. If it's like that, all those in jail for one offence or the other should be released after all they didn't do it intentionally too grin grin grin grin

NIGERIA WILL NEVER BE GREAT angry

Tribalistic yorubas think they are doing igbos but what they don't know is that they are doing everyone including themselves. As it stands now the future of the unborn generation doesn't look good in that useless country when things like these keep happening. Japa if you can!

They have the right to seek redress but it will be thrown out of the window.. The constitution is clear on how fct should be run.. Sorry
if that is the case then PEPT made a fun of themselves by classified FCT as a state so that they can them of 25% mandatory status as well!

The supreme court like the appeal court, will uphold the constitution of equality of citizens before the law. That every vote is equal and not more important than another. The citizens are a different legal entity from the state. If FCT has a special status, fine but it does not overide equality of all citizens in every part of Nigeria as enshrined in the constitution.

So a rerun election should be organized.

The candidate with most votes and highest states didn't get 25%. The second highest didn't get FCT.
3rd placed candidate who won the FCT the least votes.

Howecer the tribunal has reaffirmed Tinubu Abeg let it go.
Losers should try again next term. Make we hear word

Fallacy! There is nothing like " Abuja indigenes" I think they should be called their proper name " disgruntled Obi's supporters". We all know those who came to court when the so called Abuja Residents filed their useless case to stop the inauguration. I just keep wondering when all these childish tantrums will stop. Just because the Judges confirmed what every sensible person already know that Abuja as the FCT enjoys no special status different to that of the states, then it implies (stupidly if you ask me) that it status must now be changed from a FCT to that of a state?

Let them file that case and see it thrown out in less than ten minutes for lack of locus standi, with another heavy fine to go with it. Check out the FCT Act of 1990 Section 13. I am waiting for the daft lawyer that would again put their neck on the line for this waste of time

It's not something to do because those who lost election are suggesting it
nothing like those who lost election. If the corrupt judges said Abuja is like other states then they completely make it like other states.
They want to call Abuja no man's land but they hate to hear people calling Lagos no man's land. Why?
The minister of Abuja is from south south
The senator representing Abuja is a Yoruba woman.
Can Lagos take that shit?
When they talk about Tinubu certificate the judges said it is a pre election matter
But when they brought certificate issue in Katsina the same judges sack entertain the case and sacked the two reps.
The justice of Nigeria is for the highest bidder.
I remember that one judge was celebrating because he was chosen among gubernatorial tribunal judges. He even went to give thanks giving in the church. I was wondering why is man happy like that. Now I understand.
Justice in Nigeria is for sale.
