While you may be right sir, remember the rot we are experiencing today is as a result of the failure of past administrations including your own baba. You failed to revive Nigeria's ailing refineries whilst allocating humongous amount for such including electricity. We need solutions now not rhetorics baba. 26 Likes 4 Shares |

Acekidc4: You use your phone to use the internet today Massive employment was caused by the telecommunications industry which was brought by Obasanjo himself for the first time in Nigeria A minister of telecommunications under Abacha once said telephone isn't for the poor isn't it? The only President that increased minimum wage thrice. The first 3500 in 1999. The Nigerian middle class grew massively under him You can accuse him of being an election rigger and a dictator. But he did excellently well Economy wise. Nobody,I repeat Nobody can or has done 1/3 of what he did ever since he left government in 2007 49 Likes 6 Shares |

happney65:U forgot to tell us how he crashed NITEL which was working along with MTEL because he wanted to use other networks as cash cow. U forgot to tell us that he crashed our refineries, ALSCON, Steel company etc. You forgot to tell us that he laid the foundation for póór democracy in this country today. Whatever positive he did was well countered by a negative that's the story of leadership in Nigèria and he is a culprit. 21 Likes 4 Shares |

JagabanB: Yeye, I will give you facts. Tell me how did he crash Nitel? Was it even efficient before he came on board? Nitel or Mtel or whatever the fvck they called themselves simply went out of business because they couldn't keep up with the pace of the new entrants. Obasanjo was a pure capitalist who knew government has no business being in business. And that is what he did effectively. The Nitel then that was like current day Nepa, very inefficient and dumb. They simply went off the radar when they couldn't keep up with the new pace so how is that Obasanjo's fault? And how did he crash our refineries please I want to know? Where? When? How? Obasanjo when he was leaving in 79,we had 4 functional refineries that he handed over to shagari. It was useless Buhari when he took over from shagari started the trajectory of our wobbling refineries. Obasanjo when he was about leaving sold off the dead refineries to Dangote and Otedola to do it as he discovered the government can't and won't be able to. It was Yaradua that reversed the sale. Dangote said it at the commissing of his refinery himself . What about Power?. Obasanjo has handed off generation, transmission and distribution too when he was leaving, Yaradua also cancelled it and here we are. He did it the same way he did telecommunications Even infrastructure sef. The most busy federal road in Nigeria the Lagos Ibadan expressway that the Buhari administration are fixing was even constructed by him too in 79 His only mistake was he being a dictator and an election rigger. But talking about the Economy, Nobody,I repeat Nobody has surpassed him since 1999. Periodt! 42 Likes 6 Shares |

Nigeria's democracy is a fraud given the skewed and lopsided political structure of Nigeria created by northern military dictators who created too many new federating units (19 states and Abuja) with corresponding large number of political constituencies in the old Northern region, but allowed only few (17 states) new federating units in the two old southern regions. The political structure shifted the balance of political power to the old Northern region whose political class largely determine who wins presidential election to presides over Nigeria at any turn. |

happney65: Which economy are you talking about please? Is like some of you were still very small during his administration that made you think the hardship Nigerians are passing through started today. The same OBJ that spent over 15 Trillions naira on electricity generation with nothing to show for it? The same Obj that the price of fuel triple during his time in power? How much were the price of goods and services before and after he left office? What is the quality of naira to dollar before and after he left office? Was he not the same man who remove history as subject from secondary school curriculum so that you won't remember his evil acts? The problem of we youths of these days is that, we always think the past is better than today because we lack reading culture. The only difference between then and now is modernisation. Unlike today that majority of people would rather come to the cities and be jobless, alot of people back then stayed in their respective towns and villages and grow most of their foods by themselves. Their wants and needs are limited, and they were always satisfied with little they have. They have less reason to complain because most of them don't own cars or spent much on transportation. You hardly see youth lavishing away money in clubs like today. I could remember back then, almost all middle class and professionals own backyard gardens or farms where they grow basis stuffs for their family. How many people you can see doing that today. 1 Like 1 Share |

onuman:Yes this is the sad reality but nothing can be done about it unless Nigeria is either restructured or disintegrated. The unspoken truth is that Nigeria is truly not one nation but rather a parasitic contraction where regions prey on the natural resources of some other regions without developing the regions where these resources are taken from. Nigeria is just a business venture for the elites (politicians) who have turned it to a generational enrichment scheme without care or regards for the wellbeing of the masses or the general development of the country at large. 4 Likes |
