your brain is very sound

RevDesm0ndJuju:

They both share the same ambitions but the Fulani is strategic about his and also very diplomatic in his planning except the ewu Buhari.

Ibos hate fulanis because fulanis beat them at their game and Fulani is not keen to share power with them knowing how power lusting and greedy an 0koro is.

keep quite aside propaganda what do you know about Nigerian History, the plan for Igbo to dominate Nigetia started in 1954 or was known in 1954 only God knows when it started,by 1957 Nnamdi had declared serval times that Igbo was a special race and they must rule over Nigeria infact the fulanis learned of this agenda from the Igbo.you think Igbo greed started today or there hate started today.Nnamdi became the first president in a deal with the north where he proclaimed northerners as foolish people hence while he did a deal with the north and not the south west.he didn't know that the Fulani may look foolish but they are always 10 steps ahead in planning hence Nnamdi become pRESIDENT AND THE NORTH produced the prime minister but Nnamdi quickly learnt that all power of the state is in the hands of the prime minister while the president had no real power.and the Igbo began again, this is where 1963 coup came ,it is an Igbo coup designed by Igbos for power grabbing.infact the idea for that coup came from ojukwu senior who was a chief strategist to Nnamdi.

You see why I said you have no sense. Never was there anytime Zik made a deal with the North for presidency. Note that after the parliamentary elections there was no clear Majority between the parties. NPC was first NCNC was second and AG was third. But the law stated that a coalition would ensure majority and appoint prime minister. Sardauna told the British that any coalition between the parties in the south would make the North not be interested in power. Mind you in the Lancaster agreement that all the so called founding fathers Awo inclusive signed with the British it stated that as a precondition for independence, all the borders of colonial Nigeria must not be drawn in anyway that was why the anti secession clause was written.
Back to the elections, the British fearing that the north will not join and being weary of losing the north to the French colonies, stated that a majority government can only be formed by a coalition between NPC and any of the parties in the south. The irony is that AG through Akintola at the behest of Awo wanted to secretly push for a coalition with NPC. It was Sardauna himself that called Zik while Zik was in Asaba meeting with Awo, that AG were with him discussing coalition(tell me who was the greedy one here). Zik sensing the game now agreed to the coalition with NPC and infact the British never wanted AG in that coalition.
Go and read the book the "End of an empire" you will see declassified colonial documents on the Nigeria's elections and independence.
You see these propaganda games from you no dey work. Try and have sense or you will be arrested for ethnic baiting.

Judgementa1:

Bro always argue with fact not emotion.

Chinua Achebe the erudite novelist tried to change the narrative of the January 15, 1966 Coup in his book There Was A Country to portray his ethnic group as the victim, but this has been debunked: “Igbo in the North were widely taunting their hosts on the loss of their leaders.

Celestine Ukwu, a popular Igbo musician, released songs titled Ewu Ne Ba Akwa (Goats Are Crying) and others celebrating “Igbo power”, the “January Victory.” Posters, stickers, postcards, cartoons displaying the murdered Sardauna begging Major Nzeogwu at the gates of heaven or Balewa burning outright in pits of hell or Nzeogwu standing St. George-like on Sardauna, the defeated dragon, began to show up across Northern towns and cities.

These provocations were so pervasive that they warranted the promulgation of Decree 44 of 1966 banning them”. Even Dr. Nnamdi Azikwe noted these atrocities in his The Origins of the Civil War: “Some Ibo elements, who were domiciled in Northern Nigeria taunted northerners by defaming their leaders through means of records or songs or pictures.

They also published pamphlets and postcards, which displayed a peculiar representation of certain northerners, living or dead, in a manner likely to provoke disaffection.”

These images and songs eventually led to the so-called pogroms/ethnic-cleansing/genocide, not the coup.

Another lie from your stables Celestine Ukwu released that song in 1950 and not in 1966 a fact check was done and ot was shown to be a lie. Up till now no one has seen the so called posters that was used to mock the northerners. Again there was a cartoon which was the excuse used for the progrom from the staples of one magazine trying to remember the name the writer used the pseudonym Coz Idapo which was later discovered to be a yoruba man(I will get his name) as the person behind the cartoons in 1966.

Do you know the funny thing. The person who killed regionalism was Gowon with decree 8 that abolished regions and created states. Ironsi with his unitary decree only centralised the civil service, he kept the regions and provinces intact.

Liar.

Decree 8 abrogated Ironsi's unity decree 34.

It was decree 34 that destroyed regions and created a powerful federal government in its place.

Decree 8 was meant to return Nigeria back to her original template but with more autonomy for regions that provisions were made for regional armies.

Only Ojukwu rejected this because decree 8 created states out of the old eastern region.

Decree 8 was a return to true republican government on the lines of the American system with executive powers for each state governor and the president at the centre.

Ojukwu kicked against this because it saw to the removal of the Ibo weary Niger Delta parts of the old yeast who had been clamouring since 1953 to leave the old east for you Ibos.

The coup of Jan 15 was carried out to prevent the creation of COR region by act of Federal parliament .

This is why you Ibos staged that coup and abolished all regions and placed yourselves as rulers of your betters.

Which Ironsi ?

When Gowon mobilised northern soldiers in Lagos and Ejoor returned to Enugu to mobilise same, Ironsi grew cold feet and began feigning ignorance of the coup.

It was Gowon and Ejoor that sabotaged the coup.

Ironsi started playing innocent thinking he is fooling others not knowing every of his moves was being closely watched.

A few days later, Ironsi secured an abdication letter from a faction of Ibo cabinet members serving the Tafawa Belewa government and from there declared himself head of state

Decree 34 was drafted on the 16th of January but Ironsi seeing that the coup had failed to exterminate the likes of Gowon, Ejoor and a host of other non Ibo officers , delayed the announcement for four months later .

Ironsi, Azikiwe, Ojukwu Snr and Ojukwu Jnr alongside every Ibo politician back then were neck deep in the plot.

If not for both Ejoor and Gowon's intervention , the ethnic cleansing and purging of our political and military sphere would have continued for days with Ironsi citing corruption and treason why they needed to kill other Nigerians.

The Jan 15 coup was an Ibo coup to advance Ibo interests above all others.

Per the first bolded, it is an incomplete statement hence doesn't convey any explanation. It therefore seems more like a way to use sophistry to cleverly dodge the question.
Per the second bolded, Akintola never had the blessing of Awolowo for that trip to Ahmadu Bello in Kaduna. The truth is that even three years before Independence, the about-to- depart colonial overlords had already set up a shadow indigenous government over which they made the same Balewa the head and gave Akintola a ministerial portfolio under Balewa. In essence therefore, Akintola was before Independence already been used to being in alliance with the North and had had the taste of the filthy lucre of power and for fear that subjecting himself to the Awolowo-invented egalitarian idealogy of the larger AG would cost him the filthy lucre, he had to play smart by quickly taking his own faction out of AG to go and negotiate that deal with Ahmadu Bello. All the events which later happened and culminated in Operation Wetie proved clearly that the rivalry between Akintola and Awolowo was founded on their disagreement about alliance with the North with Akintola in favour of it and Awolowo against it.
Zik himself would later make clear in his interviews that his choice of NPC was because he felt that an alliance cutting across North and South was better for his 'One Nigeria' self delusion. More evidence was the fact that Zik's NCNC went into the 1959 election in coalition with the NEPU (another core North party).
Awolowo on the other hand went into the 1959 election in coalition with UMBC (the Middle Belt party) which had progressive ideology too. In essence Zik always had a gravitational pull towards the North in his delusional quest for a
fraudulent one-Nigeria and was definitely going to accept an NPC- NCNC alliance proposal over any other one regardless of how ideologically promising that other one might be. Recall that in one of the proceedings in the Federal Parliament in 1954, Zik publicly declared that he and his fellow Igbos of the Southeast would sacrifice anything and not even mind paying the ultimate price (i.e. death) to keep Nigeria one and ensure that the North remains in it against all odds. And it would later actually so happen as millions of innocent Igbo lives were sacrificed by Northern soldiers to keep Nigeria in existence while Zik looked the other way.

If Zik was so good and reasonable, then why did Ojukwu hate him that he didn't attend Zik's funeral which was being held in Onitsha which was just few kilometers away from him in Nnewi but he didn't mind travelling thousands of kilometers to Ikenne to attend the burial of the same Awolowo you term a demon and even eulogized him as the best president Nigeria never had?

Decree 34 of Ironsi abrogated the regions and changed them to groups of provinces which were now reporting to Ironsi who had made himself the maximum ruler like Adolf Hitler unlike during the actual regional system when the regional premiers were not reporting to Balewa at the center but enjoyed autonomy and did their things their own way by making their own laws and policies. Show me a policy or law which any of those groups of provinces made entirely on its own during Ironsi's time as head of state. I am waiting.

Please can you define what is a region? Are they not a group of provinces. and Ironsi only stated that they would report to him as head of state, but they still had autonomy in carrying out the day to day running of their regions. Please what was different there? also note the only thing Ironsi did was to collapse the Civil service and the Regional Hierarchy to a central command like structure similar to the military(i see nothing bad there) to make it easier for him. The revenue systems were still intact. so quit being half clever. It was Gowon and not Ironsi that is to blame for the splitting of the regions to states

Deadlytruth:

I can hate you and settle a rift between you and someone else if that will afford me the opportunity to destroy you. One of the laws of power says, bring your friends close and your enemies closer.

That is a big lie. Zik and Ojukwu is not the issue here and again did Ojukwu speak ill about Zik when he died? Stop dancing everywhere and dodging. If truly Awo loathed Zik and vice versa, why would Awo invite Zik to settle the rift between him and Deji of Akure. Look if i have a valid case against someone i cannot invite my enemy to be the arbiter of the case knowing fully well that any issues i have will please my enemy. Stop this games you are not smart as you think.

The bolded are the reasons many people don't like engaging the average Igbo man in a debate. These are innuendos and adhominem attacks which don't make your case but actually prove you to be the wrong person in the eyes of an unbiased umpire. Why not just make your argument with facts and logic rather than all these which are sure to degenerate the thread into a spree of insults should your opponent decide to give it back to you in the same coin? Is it that you Igbos can't engage decently without emotions? That said, your defenses on the issue of whether an enemy can be invited to settle rifts shows that you still have a lot of work to do in understanding the laws of power and also in understanding that the enmity between Awolowo and Zik was not personal but political and ideological. Same with that between Ojukwu and Zik.

Mind you that I said Ojukwu didn't attend Zik's funeral. I don't know how you interpreted that to mean me saying that Ojukwu spoke I'll of Zik. Read it all over again.
