Do you have a US, Canada, Japan or Switzerland visa? If yes, you don't need a transit visa. If not, you need to get another ticket ASAP and try to get whatever refund you can for this ticket. Thewritingnerd: 1 Like |

@Shootingstars,Cashmadam,Giselle and other gurus in the house. My question are as follows. 1. If I receive a large deposit of Above 1Million from a Social Club which is my savings with them at the end of the year been December 2023 and also receive money for Rent From a Tenant into my Salary Account. 2. Please will this pose any problem or how do I explain it to avoid any issue from the Visa Officers.I intend to apply by February 2024. However,I am receiving my monthly salary into this same account from my Employer. Please I need the guidance of the gurus in the house. Thanks and God Bless. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by giselle237: 10:12pm On Sep 20, 2023 |
tony2478:cashmadam has already told you to defer this application with reasons- You can try to visit other countries as well if it’s holiday you applying for. It doesn’t have to or must be the UK. Now it is no longer your employer sponsoring, it is now savings and rent. |

tony2478: Under normal circumstances, writing a concise but detailed cover letter to support your application explaining your finances and the funds should be able to pass your message across to the ECO. But, I remember from previous chats here that your application seems a bit complicated and will require much more effort to submit a water tight application. 1 Like |

@Shootingstars, I really don't understand what you mean that my application is complicated. 1. I receive monthly salary from my employer. 2. I saw some funds with a Social Club(Thrift) which is from my other source of income. 3.I receive an annual rent from my Tenant. I have documents to provide the source of this funds. Please give me more details and how you think my application is complicated. I await your wise counsel. Thanks Under normal circumstances, writing a concise but detailed cover letter to support your application explaining your finances and the funds should be able to pass your message across to the ECO. @Giselle, Thanks for your response. Please I want you to understand where am coming from in regards to this subject matter. I applied for an entry visa to attend a business conference ( Representing my Employer).I submitted letter of Introduction/Sponsorship from my Employer and the Company's Business Statement of account. The Eco acknowledged my Employer's documents and sponsorship letter. The ECO mentioned that in as much as my employer is sponsoring me,that it is important to consider my financial circumstances. As at the time I applied for the Visa, the balance in my personal account which I submitted was about N375,000.00. The ECO said the balance in my account do not convince them that I will leave the UK if granted Visa. However I have other means of income which I didn't include in my application. 1. I have monthly savings with a Social Club and also receive House Rent at the end of the year, that is what I am talking about. If I can also add this source of funds into my salary account with documentary proof. My Employer is financially capable of sponsorship my trip for the conference and they stated the benefits of the conference to me as a staff and them as my Employer. So I need advise on how to get this application right. I have also attached the refusal letter to this message. Note; My monthly salary has been increased at the beginning of this year 2023.

tony2478: You are complicating things for yourself. I'm getting a bit confused. Is your employer sponsoring you or are you sponsoring yourself? Kindly clarify. This social club thing and rent will complicate issues. My suggestion remains: Focus on building your savings, keep your salary account clean and reapply sometime next year. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by tony2478: 12:06am On Sep 21, 2023 |
Please @Cashmadam I want to have oral discussion with you on this matter. My Employer is sponsoring me to the conference.I only save some money monthly with the social club, which is money from my side business. The Social Club will pay my savings with them into my personal account at the end of the year. I also get rent money.I am only asking if it is wise to quote this two source of funds as additional source of income and add documentary evidence. I plan to reapply next year, meanwhile I am receiving my regular monthly salary from my Employer,Which has also been increased. That's is all am asking. Cashmadam: |

Hi guys! I’ve been slightly worried after I applied for a visiting visa. My worry is, can I use my PiggyVest wallet account as a savings account? My personal introduction letter explained how I move funds between my salary acc and this wallet acc in details but I’m just worried. Will this affect the decision in any way? Hope to hear from you guys 🙏 |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by giselle237: 1:42am On Sep 21, 2023 |
tony2478:your monthly salary has been increased to what if I may ask? Since your employer is sponsoring, have you answered the questions why they are not sponsoring you to other countries, what other staff members have they sponsored this way, why they have decided to sponsor you, of what benefit is your attendance to this conference to the company, what this conference would do for you etc.. have these been answered ? I think the question also is why you need all this extra help if it is for a conference? 1 Like |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by dirolad(m): 9:23am On Sep 21, 2023 |
tony2478:The ECO said aside the monthly income, there are unexplained deposit. That's why Cover Note and Cover Letter including Supporting documents is needed. In your cover note and Cover letter, let the ECO know that other transfer asides salary is from so so so income and you have included so so so supporting documents to prove it's source. That way you have a say Incase it gets omitted or skipped. The ECO wasn't curious of why the company is sponsoring you but that could be the reason for the next so please digest the advise above me. |

I submitted my salary account bank statement and my PiggyVest statement. The POF is in the PiggyVest wallet account. I explained in my cover letter all this and both statement shows how the funds move from my salary account to the PiggyVest account and vice versa. ShootingStar92: |

tony2478: Sorry, I no longer engage in personal discussions outside of this platform. It appears that you are want to complicate issues for yourself for no reason. Focus on your salary and the sponsorship from your employer. You don't need to prove you earn extra income from other sources. Unless there is something you are not telling us. |
