Sorry sir when you say more effective I want to understand. Cos Zizou style of play won him world cup, euro cup, champions league, league titles and World best. So how do you define effective.

NB. effective
/ɪˈfɛktɪv/
See definitions in:
All
adjective
1.
successful in producing a desired or intended result

"More effective." I never said Zidane's play was not effective.

Senegal no sabi! I am not scared of any team. They should be wary of us.
We will break any AFCON defence with a rejuvenated Ndidi and Iwobi in midfield, and an attack of Boni, Moffi, Lookman, Chuz, Simon and the Oga himself (Osimhen).
Without injuries/red card AFCON will be a walk over for us! Believe me!
Best comment of the 2023-24 season!

Yes but we failed in last Afcon and WC qualifiers due to poor goalkeeping and if care is not taken am seeing the same scenario happening…imagine Uzoho warming the bench in a very poor league .

I remember when Awoniyi got his first cap under Keshi…Iwobi under Siasia…Leon Balogun under Keshi….Osimhen under Rohr if am rightly…Henry Nwosu was 17 years old in 1980 Afcon…Keshi was 21 and captained eagles….Adokiye a university student

We are having issue in the middle and is glaringly but we are still dragging on emerging young talents like Eletu and Akinsanmiro. All we need now is to fix the missing link and make the team balance cuz tactically Peseiro has not really convinced me.

Le Saux? The same one that was dragging LB shirt with Babayaro in Chelsea? How many caps did Le Saux even get playing for England? I mean he was decent but legend? When, How, Where?

I will always give it to Westerhoff. He knew after Senegal 92 that he was having issue of traditional number 6 which is DM.He searched and got Oliseh, against Ethiopia Sunday Oliseh at 20 send experienced Friday Ekpo away from the team with his displayed.

Peseiro just need to open more to solve the midfield issues cuz against North Africa teams you need a balance midfield and in a tournament names don’t do it but team chemistry

When his country needed him the most against Wales, Italy and Morocco at the 2016, 2020 Euros and 2022 WC respectively KDB went ghost mode. Even with Man City where you would say he's largely made his name na domestic championships like EPL, FA cup and co he dey flex muscle. Champions League they won they did it without him on the pitch and we no dey fear God compare am to Zidane wey win WC & UCL even score for final join? Haba mana!

jihday:
people are rating Zidane because he’s a clutch player, pinging 500 passes against Stoke isn’t same as pocketing the whole Brazil’s national team. Debruyne will be quickly forgotten once his career is over because he has no real career highlight. Had the chance in last season UCL but injury did him dirty

LOL. Career stats mean all games played and showed the influence. For instance, Zidane was not even key to France winning the 1998 World Cup but his stat is showing there. Left to him, France would not have won it.

Career stats are more important and determining contributions than collective stat of Euros and World Cups. Finito.

Zidane literally scored two goals in the final and you say he was not key? Guy grin grin grin grin grin.

What defines your career is the trophies you won and individual accolades. That is why even though Ali Daei of Iran has more goals than Messi no human being will claim he's better than the Argentinian.

Some things dey too obvious instead of dragging argument dem no dey give award for arguing.

A world cup is not won by one game.

You can define careers by accolades but when you want to consider who was more effective, you need to look at more individualistic data.

Zidane visits Bayern to learn from Guardiola

The Real Madrid Castilla coach joined Will Sagnol and Claude Makelele in Germany as they aim to complete their Uefa Pro Level Three licence

Real Madrid icon Zinedine Zidane has travelled to Munich to pick up some coaching expertise from former Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola.

The former France star, currently head coach of the Real Madrid Castilla side, has already been earmarked as a potential successor to Carlo Ancelotti at the helm of the senior side at Santiago Bernabeu.

Along with former international team-mates Claude Makele and Willy Sagnol, Zidane has joined a delegation attending Bayern's training centre on Sabener Strasse to watch Guardiola lead a session on Wednesday.

Zidane, Makele and Sagnol - currently head coach of Bordeaux - are attempting to acquire their Uefa Pro Level Three coaching licence as they look to begin their careers in the dugout in earnest.

Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge welcomed the group at the training ground ahead of their three-day spell in Germany.

Zidane, who has also visited Marcelo Bielsa at Marseille in the past few months, is currently enduring a tough spell with the Castilla side, who have lost four games in a row.

Guardiola's Bayern are currently 10 points clear at the top of the Bundesliga and will take on Porto in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

We did not fail at the last AFCON. We were unlucky! Even without Osimhen and an inform Dennis our team outplayed Egypt and our bench walked over the other two teams in our group at AFCON 2022. The same Egypt outplayed Senegal in the final. Just imagine Iwobi was not red carded, we would have met Burkina Faso, then the Senegalese team that scored just one penalty goal to qualify. I don't analyze football based on emotions but on realities.
The more reason I said without red card/injuries. Even with 10 men and a goal keeping error we outplayed Tunisia. With Iwobi on that pitch we would have equalized and won.
We drew Ghana first team home and away without our two most informed midfielders as at then (Iwobi and Ndidi). With our full squad available bar no injuries, we will be unstoppable! Simple!
Uzoho is still a good goalkeeper. He showed that against United. Anybody can make mistakes. Onana, The Morrocan keeper, etc have made one mistake or the other in their career.
My viewpoint is that we have the team to win it!

Eletu and Akinsanmiro are not better than Ndidi, Onyeka, Onyedika, and even Nwakali. We all saw Eletu struggled to even get a start at the under 20 World Cup. What we need is a deputy to Iwobi which we don't have anywhere in the world presently. Nevertheless, I believe Nacho and Boniface can play that role if we switch our formation a little bit. And JP is doing that. Trying to get the best out of the players with series of different formations. If we look keenly, we could see what JP is trying to do! We simply do not have a 10 aside Iwobi that is the reality!

I also think we have the personnel to win it however the 'if' and 'buts' are too much.

Our success at the AFCON is dependent too much on the technical crew getting the right balance and implementing the ideal formation/tactics.

Man for man based on player quality I think there are only 2 max 3 countries slightly better than us but winning the AFCON is not only about player quality.
