giselle237: Thank you so much for the response. He has a valid return ticket from Turkish airline, I booked it myself. I am not a fan of Royal air because of their being notorious for missing luggage and shitty service but that was the only available flight at that time and I insisted he wasn’t going to use them on return, the reason I booked turkish. This is just the height and even when I contacted the travel agency, they were shocked and they said it is strange. I will take it up with Royal air and drag them everywhere. Thank you so much |

Call the airline directly or the agency you booked from. And you need to do this fast as Turkish is a bit funny - sometimes they will not accept changes to the date of a flight if it's a same-day departure. Given the urgency, this should be your first line of action. october5: |

Start from the first page and read through. If you have specific questions on the process, you can ask for help. Detailed info has been shared regarding similar cases in the past. arcis: |

Check your ticket. This will be stated there. However, I know that the cabin luggage is 7kg not 7/8kg and they sometimes enforce these limits. milliki:

MsFm: African airlines are notorious for this. Traveling to Johannesburg in August, I was forced to buy a return ticket on Air Cote D'Ivoire, even though I already had one with Kenyan Airways. I even went as far as going on the airline's website to show them my return ticket with KQ was valid, they were still adamant. I had no choice than to pay another 300k for Johannesburg - Lagos. I didn't use the ticket. Returning back home, I reach out to the airline to reschedule and reroute the ticket for a later date, and was told I must use it on or before the end of October. 🥺🥺🥺 |

MsFm: It is not the airlines business what return ticket you purchase. Their only concern should be that you have a return ticket if you have a visiting visa or you buy one way ticket with evidence of being a permanent resident. I experienced it when going to UK in March this year with my Mom. I bought return ticket on Qatar Airways and bought one way ticket for my mom because I would return before her as she would spend more time with my brother. At the counter, Qatar Airways said she could only board with one way ticket with visitor visa if she has a resident permit. At the end of the day, we bought a return ticket for a later date than my return date on British Airways as we wanted her to come back direct. We showed them the code of the purchase online and they verified and allowed us to board. |

Good day everyone. Please I need some guidance. I chose the self-service and I've been able to upload all my documents. However, I'm not quite sure if the submission is successful or not as there was no indication as to that. Also, when I scrolled down, I saw a button that said "Proceed with the application". However, this button leads me to the Gov.uk website whenever I click on it. I'd like to know if I'm on the right track. If not, what can I do? Please help. My biometrics is on the 6th of October.

Greetings my people. I paid for work visa since Thursday but have been unable to get an appointment for biometrics at Ikeja TLS even for assisted service. Does that mean there is no space except if I buy premium slots? Can I switch to another TLS center? I really want to get this part out of the way. What should I do? |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Petrak1: 7:10am On Sep 30, 2023 |
Opeyemi007: Hello. Please help clarify. Does your solicitor have to be UK based? I am in the process of sending a PAP after an annoying refusal even though all evidences provided. I have been following this thread for a while now. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by ShootingStar92: 10:46am On Sep 30, 2023 |
makazona: To change to another TLS location you will have to cancel the current visa application and re-apply then select a different VAC location. This information is also available on TLS contact website. You will be refunded any money you paid for the first application but it can take up to 2 weeks |

Good morning guys, I am inviting my mom and my sister for my graduation. They have the following documents: 1. employment letter 2. bank statement 3. payslips 4. utility bill 5. my BRP and passport 6. me and my sisters birth certificate to show proof that we are related and to my mom as well 7. an invitation letter from me 8. My graduation letter from school and tickets My question now is that, I stay in a houseshare only meant for one person and uploading my tenancy agreement counters their accomodation confirmation as it states that the room is meant for only one person. What document can they use instead? Should I book an hotel? Also, should they apply for 6 months or 2-years. This is their first time coming to the UK and I don't know Also, their bank statements shows a huge sum of money. This was sent to them after they sold one of my father's property (who is late). And we intend to add an evidence, a letter, stating this. |
