Michaelin007:Lol Your government claimed they're capable of the task isn't it? What birth emilokan please? All past government and present once claimed they're capable of the task even though sane Nigerians know they have nothing to offer them. Why should we provide solutions to what you're being employed for please? Tinubu and others got elected on the basis that they're the best amongst others capable for the job. If you're being employed as a teacher, will they still help you to teach the students? Stop being clever by half young man. Your leaders claim to be the best after bread and butter and capable of the task. You want Nigerians to continue to die in silence right? I laugh at you in Swahili if that's your mission. If you care to know, once hardship is getting too much in the country it could resist to anarchy. You're not safe with that your job. Have you ever wondered why people are running away from the country? Or you think all of them are just after making money abroad? Some are running for their safety if you care to know. Their family aren't safe living amongst the poor that could barely feed daily. I love the fact that you're earning millions in your early 20s but sadly, there are millions of other Nigerians roaming the streets on a daily basis jobless. There are millions of Nigerians that doesn't know where their next meal will come from. That doesn't make you better than them if you care to know. Once it gets to the stage that an average Nigerians cannot afford 3 square meal daily then it's obvious even to the blind that your government has failed woefully. You're only clever by half that's the truth. Being patriotic doesn't mean you shouldn't criticise the government in their shortcomings. You put them in that office. You have the power to recall them back. Change your wack mentality of asking an average Nigerians that could barely feed what's their contribution to the country when they're obeying the law of the land as a citizen. Even rich Nigerians doesn't have any right under the constitution to contribute their resources in the country. Only our commonwealth resources shared amongst those corrupt leaders are meant for the good of the land. Peace 1 Like 1 Share |

JASONjnr: Somebody with no basic common sense can succeed as a leader if he or she has good advisers. Why do you think floating the naira is wrong?. Don't you know it is criminal for the CBN to be selling dollars at 450 while it is 750 in the open market across the road?. Which other country is such happening and they even seize dollar that does not belong to them!. Even till now. So far you are not able to access your own dollars in cash and change anytime you want then the naira is not yet floated fully. It is not yet a free market but the value is still determined by the printing of money they do anyhow to replace taxation |

Why can't the Custom reduce the cost of clearance, instead of allowing the cars to be left forgotten |
Re: Floating Naira: Importers Abandon Tokunbo Cars At Seaport by ufotunang: 12:34pm On Sep 29, 2023 |
Itsrm:... what makes those cars expensive..is the high costs of producing the cars ...due to the harsh environment of doing business in nigeria...no constant electricity light, high costs of fuel , disel in running the company with generator, bad roads, multiple taxation, 1000 naira to a dollar all this causes the costs of production to be high ..and if its expensive...the rich nigerians that can afford the expensive innoson cars do not buy the car...they prefer to buy expensive luxurious foreign cars ..it's hardly to see a rich man and politician driving innoson motors in nigeria...the all go for foreign cars . because they do not value what they have in nigeria |

franugo:I like your attitude. We are trying to tackle the elephant in the room. I supported and voted for Obi because I felt he would have the boldness to take the hard decisions our economy desperately needs. I felt Tinubu and atiku will not be able to do anything because they are benefiting from the system but Tinubu is taking the exact decisions I expected Obi to take. You will agree with me that Nigeria's economy is bad, very bad and if we don't want Sri Lanka to happen to us, hard decisions need to be made. Tinubu is making them, he has not fully convinced me but he is doing much better than I anticipated. Thanks. |

NSNO: We all agree the subsidy had to go and i believe any one of the aspirants that won would have removed the subsidy, maybe not as quickly and shoddy as Tinubu did his. Tinubu's lack of foresight in the fx debacle has put us in a very bad state, his lack of proper planning for subsidy removal also has worsened the economy. Any honest scoring of this government will be an excellent failure, so once again I ask, why do you believe things will get better soon? |

emmanuelbrown26: I don't know which metric you are using but in most metrics of business, you find more Yoruba than Igbo. Highest paid CEOs of public companies, Nigerian founded companies with most employees, visible high net worth individuals and almost any metric you want to use but we must realize people living on Yoruba land in SW NC and SS are not less than eighty million or there abouts. On Igbo land in SE and SS the population will be under forty million. So that is the reason for the gap |

Elxandre:Any meter given to you by phcn for free isn't free you will definitely pay for it but indirectly. secondly the meter you paid for is different from the one they force on you..Note: meter advantage is for those who lives alone not shared apartments and are not always around..You can't live as u like on prepaid meter if you are the type that works from home, there's limitation to house appliances like Aircon, hotplate, iron and pumping machine.. |
