Are we to wait for a mail like how dependants visa work or we just wait to see the passport. |

Morountodun90: Book AirBnb or hotel close to your university (to pay on arrival) and attach the reservation as a supporting document. Explain in your letter that you have made accommodation arrangements. For the large sum, they should explain this in the letter of introduction and add any proof of the sale/transaction. Finally, as they are coming just for your graduation I recommend applying for a 6 months visa instead of 2 years as that might raise a red flag. 1 Like 1 Share |

Prettyoye: It should be successful. If it wasn’t you should have received an email to that effect. |

Chudycharles:You should send a pre-action protocol (PAP) letter to Home Office UKVI before filing an immigration Judicial Review (JR) in Court and ask the Home Office UKVI to reconsider its refusal decision within 14 days. What Is A Pre-Action Protocol (PAP) A pre-action protocol (PAP) letter is a letter written to the Home Office, UKVI in order to try and resolve a dispute concerning an immigration matter before Judicial Review (JR) proceedings are started against the Home Office UKVI. A Pre-Action Protocol (PAP) letter may also be called a ’letter before claim’ or a ’letter before action’. All of these terms refer to the same thing. Purpose Of Pre-Action Protocol (PAP) The purpose of pre-action protocol (PAP) letter is to identify the issues in dispute and establish whether litigation with the Home Office, UKVI can be avoided. The letter contains the date and details of the immigration decision (the refusal letter), act or omission of the Home Office UKVI being challenged and a clear summary of the facts on which the Judicial Review claim against the Home Office, UKVI is based. It also contains the details of any relevant information that the applicant is seeking from the Home Office, UKVI and an explanation of why this is considered relevant. Response To Pre-Action Protocol (PAP) Immigration Judicial Review (JR) proceedings against the UKVI are not normally issued until the proposed reply date given in the letter before claim has passed, unless the circumstances of the immigration case require more immediate action to be taken. Home Office UKVI, should normally respond to letter before action (pre-action protocol letter) within 14 days and Home Office UKVI may face cost implications for failure to respond to pre-action protocol (PAP) letter unless there are good reasons for not responding within that period. An application for permission to apply for Judicial Review can be filed in the Upper Tribunal or Administrative Court (High Court), as the case may be, if the Home Office, UKVI do not respond to the pre-action protocol letter within 14 days or the Home Office UKVI responds within 14 days but maintains their decision to refuse the immigration application. The protocol does not affect the time limit specified by CPR Part 54.5(1) namely that an application for permission to apply for Judicial Review (JR) must be made promptly and in any event not later than 3 months after the grounds upon which the claim is based first arose. Mail to send the letter to: UKVIPAP@homeoffice.gov.uk 1 Like |

Good day everyone. I have my plab 2 exam in April next year and have been worried regarding the visa application. I plan on using my account but I sent a bulk amount yesterday to the account. Considering I'd be needing a 6 months bank statement which will most likely reflect the transfer is it still advisable to use my account and when/around what time can I start the visa process? Or should I get a sponsor and does it matter if the sponsor doesn't bear the same name with me? Thank you. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Ozeggy: 1:17pm On Oct 01, 2023 |
6 months bank statement is actually not a prerequisite. You can select a date after the bulk amount transaction. Timmycarter: |

Good day, house, Please, I have a few questions. I was refused a Canada visa in 2016 for misrepresentation and was declared inadmissible for a period of 5 years, which ends in 2021. How do I answer the question in the picture attached below? Should I select Refused a Visa as well as Excluded or Banned from Entry? Should I select Refused a visa alone and give details of what happened? Is being excluded or banned from entry the same as the Canada visa ban? If there's anyone here who also has the same experience, kindly share how you filled out this section of the form. Your response will be highly appreciated. cc giselle237

I guess I only have my job and family relatives as ties, as for the amount in my account it's from my side hustle, I buy goods for my traders contacts in the east and waybill to them from Lagos, so it's not a registered business. ShootingStar92: |

Advise needed: I am a single mom of a 13-year-old boy and I am currently out of a job. My sister wants me to come visit her and her family in the UK. My sister will be paying for the trip but I have sufficient funds to show as proof of funds. What options do I have available to apply considering I do not have a job currently. |

Hello, I would appreciate some help with my sister’s visa. She just received her third refusal(attached). We are quite confused about what happened with her CAc registration and are checking to see if she was scammed. I wanted her to attend my baby’s christening which is unlikely to happen. I was going to suggest waiting until next summer the applying again. Would it be easier if I offer to sponsor her trip 100% while she only declares her employment? I did this for my brother (they were meant to be travelling together) and he was successful. Please help. I spent a lot of time on her application. We did a spreadsheet explaining the source of her income with receipt. Her husband also wrote a letter confirming his monthly contribution to her account. I also provided all my details (house documents, payslip, British passport, invitation card and photos) I'm not sure what else can be done. Would it be easier if I offered to pay for all her expenses? Help

Mamasibs:3rd refusal and she can not afford her trip so much so that you now want to sponsor the trip wholly is not a good look. At least her husband if at all, should be able to sponsor the trip if she is not able to. How did she arrive at been a sole owner and not able to prove the financial status of her business and be extension her financial status? I would leave the UK alone for now. The application otherwise begins to scream of desperation. 1 Like |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Cashmadam: 3:04pm On Oct 03, 2023 |
Mamasibs: Sorry about this. Three refusals back to back screams desperation. If she really wants to travel for tourism, there are 194 other Countries she can visit. Two questions the visa case worker needs answers for - Why UK? and Can she afford to travel on her income? She is an adult and will be assessed based on her financial and personal circumstances. Leave UK for now. A fourth attempt is not a good idea for now. 1 Like |

Hi Thank you for prompt response. Kindly assist with the below requirement as I'm applying for my mum with limited ties to Nigeria. I have the following documents for her, Land documents and receipt, no certificate of occupancy, Letter for from my mosque confirming her role and reason for travel. Letter from Nigeria union of tailor with membership ID card. Shop rent receipt and agreement documents. Letter from my siblings and their prof of relationship. Pictures with siblings and grandchildrens. Thank you so much @cashmadam,@giselle237. Is all this documents okay to proof of ties back home. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by giselle237: 4:47pm On Oct 03, 2023 |
Kunleop:I’d add pictures of her in this shop or tailor union carrying out her tailoring or market activities. Pictures should be from different dates. Try to take some from outside the complex or store to give a great angle. I’d add evidence of her children and other grandchildren that would be remaining in Nigeria when she is away eg passports or ID cards or work details or residency details Pictures and other proofs from this land and if possible herself in them. Where is her husband by the way? |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by ShootingStar92: 5:32pm On Oct 03, 2023 |
MayCar:You can write a letter of consent and in the letter explain that you are aware of her visit and you consent to this and also, you consent to your joint account being used as sponsor evidence. |
