Cooletempa: You're comparing Nigeria with countries who doesn't have crude oil -- why don't you compare us with Libya and Algeria, they have crude oil with cheapest prices of gas in the world.. So, we should be happy we are refilling our gas at #1000 per Kg!!! There is no justification for madness, there is madness for a reason -- I'm yet to find the real reason behind Nigeria's madness |

Cooletempa: Poverty is not a sin The job of government is to raise people out of poverty This government has blasted it will do so The same government has set minimum wage in Nigeria at 30000 That is the context There are no logical grounds for bringing Ethiopia into the discussion What matters is the earning power of Nigerians You appear contemptuous of poor people The issue is MOST Nigerians are extremely poor and cannot even cook with gas So with this development it would seem the numbers of those using gas will dwindle How do we lift Nigerians out of poverty? |

b4ball: You are a dunce….. if I wrote that I thought 1000 was for the month, should that not tell you that that is what I thought. And that amount should not be complained about. I don’t live in Nigeria but still in africa. We pay about 20000 Naira here for gas of the same so I thought wrongly that it was only 1000 in Nigeria. |

I see the increase in price of cooking gas as deliberate. I thought people were now using cooking gas to power the electricity generators? All these is just a way to keep the common man down and when you ask those supporters of every government policies, what are they benefiting as a Nigerian none will give any reasonable answer. With all the money flying up and down, how has it impacted directly to the common man? I saw a thread on white Elephant projects and some people still try to defend such projects. How are the people benefiting from such projects? The only thing they know is how to be more wicked. |

Cooletempa: You or me needs to calm down?? You are the one that punctuates your speech with insults and contempt For poor peolle From what you wrote I know what you wrote not what You think whatever you thought makes no difference to your statement on poverty Poverty is pervasive in Nigeria That is the bitter reality of most Nigerians who cannot even imagine cooking with gas |
