1. Most schools will accept your grade for post-graduate programs 2. Yes, you can 3. You can, but not many schools are currently accepting January intake. Schools like Fleming, Sault and Algonquin are still open for January. You can send me a message if you need assistance with admission. Tessi59: |

Hello everyone, Please, what is the difference between an Ontario college diploma (2 years), a graduate certificate and a PGD? I have an undergraduate degree in accounting. But want to go for something related to my work experience (Digital Marketing). Which of these program options should I choose? I've been brainstorming on this, and it's always confusing. I need help, please. |

Nanorest:If you have more than 1 stop in Europe, it would need a transit visa. Your 1st leg is a 1 stop(Frankfurt) then Toronto. The return leg is a 2 stop in Europe. If you have no plans of using the return leg, then you can be fine. I would advise you call the airline. Or just get a 1 stop in Europe ticket. On a study visa, you can use a one way ticket also. 1 Like |

techgurl12:Ontario College Diploma is a post secondary program like-able to a Nigerian OND, while Post Graduate Cert(PGC) or Diploma(PGD are higher programs after a BSC or HND. Most PGCs are 1yr programs, some are 2 yrs while PGD are mostly 2yrs programs, there may be PGDs that are 1yr, yet to see any though. |

Nanorest:You should be good but double check with the airline. So that overzealous staff do not trouble you on your way out at the airport. |

Congratulations. Kindly reply your mail. quote author=bettyomo post=126098506]It finally ended in praise. When I decided to try Canada, I never thought study route was for me due to age. Until one day on this forum I read a post of a 50 year old who was granted study permit. My course is Global Business Management different from my undergraduate degree (Law). First study permit application: After I submitted my application, i realised that it would not fly due to one lump sum payment of 14M credited to my account 5 days before i printed out my statement. The account had low opening balance. Even though I pinned it in my SOP as payment for sale of land with sale agreement, I was not convinced due to GCMS notes I read later on this forum where VO made comments on lump sum desposits as reason for refusal. I saw that some persons were able to convince VO but I know say my case be one kind. So I jeje withdrew the application to avoid stories that touch. I first withdrew my admission for September 2023 intake as my school does not defer and due to time needed to work on my account, I applied and was admitted to same school for Spring 2024 intake. First application Timeline Submission: 21st April, 2023 Withdrawal request: 30th April, 2023 Request approved: 3rd June, 2023 (I applied for GCMS notes via ATIP on 10th June and received it on 7th July. In the note there was a comment that Certicate of Incorporation included but no particulars of Director or Proprietor. So in my second application, I included that) I left the 14M in my account as opening balance and worked on the account for 4 months. I tried as much as possible to avoid lump sum deposits and withdrawals. The introduction of I & E window showed me shege. Second application Submission: 14th August, 2023 Upfront Medical : 16th August, 2023 Biometrics: 17th August, 2023 ( updated 18th August, 2023) as completed) Applied for CBSA notes: 30th August, 2023 (to know the status of medical) Upfront Medical passed: 11th September, 2023 On 19th September, 2023: Sent several webforms and emails to Nairobi and London. Only London responded that it's office is not processing my application. I got just the generic response from Nairobi I read here too that enquiries by MP triggers IRCC to process delayed application so on Saturday, 23rd September, 2023, i sent mails to 4 MP's. I got response on monday. 2 responded that they can only attend to people within their riding and one sent a mail that IRCC was contacted on my behalf that my application was under review and within processing time. I come say make I rest until after the 7th week I refire again. Surprisingly on 27th September, 2023 that same week eligibility review started and that same day I received a mail to forward identification for cbsa note. I forwarded immediately. Hi guys, when writing a letter of explanation, and the reference letters of employment is a full contract of employment running into about 10 pages, and the breakdown of salary is on page 5, how do you attach that document as part of the LOE? Should I add all the pages of the employment contract or can I add a link to a Google drive folder where the document is located? Same applies to other proof of home ties. Contract of land sales, my sponsors employment letter also. |

00e1: I hope many people learn from this before making that decision to come here. A lot of people are suffering here now as we speak. If you have the funds that can keep you upto 2 to 3 years after your tuition payment then , come and see things for yourself first, if you don’t have the funds and rely on mere hope, you are coming here to suffer . It’s getting tougher here and things are not the way it use to be . There are no jobs , rents has skyrocketed due to huge TRV issued. Also it’s now more difficult to acquire PR status because of the tough requirements. Many people are frustrated and going back to their countries after studying . If it really worth for you to come spend over 60,000 cad to study for 2 years . Then good. Do your due diligence before making that move. If you are still young from age 24 to 30 and have graduated from a university in Nigeria and have atleast a year work experience do not come here to study. Do the express entry instead. 4 Likes |
