The narrator's Yoruba is so horrible that I almost puked. This is mediocrity at its peak and it is very disrespectful to release this kind of content when you can get a Yoruba speaker to do the narration for you.

Every Yoruba word pronunced in the video is really awful. Really really awful and disgraceful for such a sacred event .

The Yoruba content creators must step up for this kind of reporting. Check my signature for free stuffs!
The person's probably not Yoruba. See him calling Ooni as oni (today).
This video is not the official video. It's one of the bloggers that covered the event. I v seen many of them call Ooni as oni!

Pete Edochie is not a Yoruba man that would be expected to postrate in greeting the Ooni, it would be culturally inappropriate for him as he doesn't even postrate to greet the Obi of Onitsha. cheesy cheesy
That's the problem of the Obi of Onitsha. A little bending to greet Ooni will show he has respect. His people too no kuku get

Pete Edochie is an Ozor in Igbo land which is a high title in Igbo land, he can’t bow to your ooni because he himself is a titled man. And you Yoruba tribal bigots always trying to make everything about your tribe are disgusting

You just sounded like a fool.

First Edochie isn't Yoruba and can still be forgiven. Ooni irisa is a Yoruba king not a Nigeria one.

Secondly, the king was comfortably on his seat and only extended his hand for a handshake which obviously isn't a bad one.

Cry me a river , he is our king , a true definition of our culture, a respectable father.

What you claim to be monarchies are nothing but appointed British warrant chiefs whom Gowon will later elevate to kings.

There is nothing like kings or lords in Ibo land.

Historically, it is known that there is a strong relationship between the sacred Aare crown and the Ogun deity, the god of iron, due to the crown’s iron component. The crown must be brought before the Ogun deity at the Okemogun shrine during the annual Olojo festival celebration in Ile Ife.

According to Ifa oral tradition, corroborated by a chief priest of the Aare crown, the crown is believed to attract people to itself when the Ooni wears it.

During the Olojo festival, people often troop out to behold the crown and on sighting it, they offer prayers because the presence of the sacred crown symbolises peace, unity, blessing and prosperity

I love the Ooni,I won't troll him,I respect him and his position.
He seems to be detribalized and has a good personality.

The great Ibo leap forward began from the 1920s up till 1945.

That pic is from Ibo land and the date was sometime in early 1920s.

At the time of the ABA riots , Christianity had already spread wide and far leading to those women wearing wrapper and blouse tops.

Chinue Achebe wrote about this so-called Great Ibo leap.
