It's okay if its also in your sponsor's account in as much as you can proof accessibility to the money. I mean, if the sponsor is your any of your parents or siblings. Just my thoughts though. Because your sponsor sending the lump sum into your account without enough reason could still be a red flag
ijeezlux:
Please guys , I need to get some tins clear, is it advisable that the proof of funds should be in my sponsor account or in my personal account?.
Cos they is not enough transaction history in my bank account, and my sponsor is insisting that the proof should be in his account

Kindly advice, my sister that stays in Europe wants me to pay my first term tuition fee for me , I have other part of my POF that I raised by myself , how do I explain her assistance in paying my tuition fee in my SOP,do I have to state that as gift of deed or does that mean she is a sponsor, thanks

Paying that makes her a co-sponsor. So prove relationship with her by uploading birth certificates and pics of both of you, possibly show previous instances she has gifted you money in the past, attach supporting docs to show what she does(work or business)
She will attach her statement of acct as well

Thanks ....... The thing is kind of confusing, cos different people are saying different thing , even an agent told me that the proof of funds should be in my account... Even a guy on nairaland said same.
But my poor transaction history is my major worries. Cos my sponsor has a very good transaction history and as a matter of fact he does transaction worth more than 50million with his account very month

I studied Physics in my Undergraduate, and I transited from that to PGD in Communication here in Nigeria as I am almost done with my PGD program with about one semester left with two more courses to write, so I am closer to an inch of applying for another PGD in Canada in the same Mass Communication as I have also told my Proffesor in the Department of Mass Communication to help with with a recommendation letter so that this can strengthen my application

I am intending to write in my SOP that I am currently undergoing PGD, could any one give me a reason I can attach on the reason why I want to repeat another PGD in Canada, even in same course of study.

The Gurus in the house, Please help me!

Yes they use bank rate, as at today its bout 580 or so. I i was also initially buying dollars to pay but when i found out about flutterwave, i changed the dollars i had been saving to Naira and paid. it was easy and fast ( i saw the funds in my school account after like 2 days) and i saved alot of naira in the process.
Agent765:

Pls is this true that they use bank rate. I’ve been changing my money to dollars to save up pending when I want to put in my application. Abi should I leave it in naira this one tuition by flutter charges bank rate

It all depends on your personal circumstance.
Like age, who is your sponsor, what part of your proof funds do you want in your account? Etc.

Even if you have a poor bank history, if the sponsor sends your living exp and misc exp into your account and back it with a gift deed, transfer receipt from sponsor account to yours as well.
Then the rest of tuition after one term deposit can is in his or hers ( backed with adequate document to back sources of the funds).

But if you poor bank history is as a result of unexplainable inflows and outflows.. thats a red flag too.

I dont think there is any hard and fast rule.
Do what makes your proof of funds believable.

Will Canada check to confirm if I have traveled to other countries before? I indicated No in the form. Reason that my previous travel was for school but I did not pull through due to health challenges. I also indicated health reasons on my SOP why there’s a wide gap from secondary to now for bachelors.
Thank you

Good evening! Please has anyone been refused for not explaining all the lump sum deposits in the account and tried doing it in reconsideration and got approved?
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by rob105: 7:40pm On Oct 02, 2023
I am not intending to include it in my SOP VISA, I was only intending to insert in my admission SOP so they can know I have full idea of the course I had applied for to strengthen my admission application, and however I would be rounding off the course by March, and I intend to apply for September 2024 intake

Some schools will not give you admission if you have already done that same course, so please check the school admission policy well.

Also, why same exact course? Aren't there variations in Communications that you can pursue in Canada?

It depends on which country, your travel history is to. They share background info with US, UK, Australia and Ireland.
Means you didn't declare your travel history.
Misrepresentation is taken very seriously by IRCC if discovered.
Pray for the best.

Hi,
I think the issue people have is not the nursing course per se.. but convincing the VO why you are going for lesser qualification.
Your wife has an MSc, she should consider another health course.. like Health Care Administration for now or Mental Health & Addictions etc.. there are options.
When she gets to Canada, she can get a nursing admission and change to that.

Most Bsc Nursing will accept you into YR 2 if you meet the AGPA, some schools offer accelerated options( you need to meet some prequisites).
People also opt for the Practical Nursing 2yr diploma.

Both roles are in -demand jobs.

Hope this helps

Thanks for your response

Please house, I have a question here...

I have done my medical, but lost my passport in the process. But I've gotten another passport and I want to start my application on IRCC.
Please is there anything I should do to avoid conflict, as the passport number on the medical is different with the number on the new passport.

It's urgent please.
Thanks.

Congratulations. Kindly reply your mail.

quote author=bettyomo post=126098506]It finally ended in praise.

When I decided to try Canada, I never thought study route was for me due to age. Until one day on this forum I read a post of a 50 year old who was granted study permit. My course is Global Business Management different from my undergraduate degree (Law).

First study permit application:
After I submitted my application, i realised that it would not fly due to one lump sum payment of 14M credited to my account 5 days before i printed out my statement. The account had low opening balance. Even though I pinned it in my SOP as payment for sale of land with sale agreement, I was not convinced due to GCMS notes I read later on this forum where VO made comments on lump sum desposits as reason for refusal. I saw that some persons were able to convince VO but I know say my case be one kind. So I jeje withdrew the application to avoid stories that touch. I first withdrew my admission for September 2023 intake as my school does not defer and due to time needed to work on my account, I applied and was admitted to same school for Spring 2024 intake.

First application Timeline
Submission: 21st April, 2023
Withdrawal request: 30th April, 2023
Request approved: 3rd June, 2023
(I applied for GCMS notes via ATIP on 10th June and received it on 7th July. In the note there was a comment that Certicate of Incorporation included but no particulars of Director or Proprietor. So in my second application, I included that)

I left the 14M in my account as opening balance and worked on the account for 4 months. I tried as much as possible to avoid lump sum deposits and withdrawals. The introduction of I & E window showed me shege.

Second application
Submission: 14th August, 2023
Upfront Medical : 16th August, 2023
Biometrics: 17th August, 2023 ( updated 18th August, 2023) as completed)
Applied for CBSA notes: 30th August, 2023 (to know the status of medical)
Upfront Medical passed: 11th September, 2023
On 19th September, 2023: Sent several webforms and emails to Nairobi and London. Only London responded that it's office is not processing my application. I got just the generic response from Nairobi

I read here too that enquiries by MP triggers IRCC to process delayed application so on Saturday, 23rd September, 2023, i sent mails to 4 MP's. I got response on monday. 2 responded that they can only attend to people within their riding and one sent a mail that IRCC was contacted on my behalf that my application was under review and within processing time. I come say make I rest until after the 7th week I refire again.

Surprisingly on 27th September, 2023 that same week eligibility review started and that same day I received a mail to forward identification for cbsa note. I forwarded immediately.
Passport request: 29th September, 2023
Bvl: 29th September, 2023

CBSA note not yet received.

Documents submitted.
My Firstbank MBS 4 months
FCMB MBS joint account
Zenith domicilary account MBS for my Common Law Partner ( He is part of my hometie)

Driver license showing joint address.
Lease Agreement and receipt for rental of my landed Property.
SOP
Certificate of Incorporation for my Common Law Partner
Certificate of Incorporation for a Foundation I am a Trustee.
Screen munch of my school's tuition estimator cos the LOA was not specific on the amount for one year tuition. I imputed the units required for graduation to show tuition fee for 2 years course.
Affidavit to abide by conditions of study permit.
Affidavit of financial support and letter of financial support.
Birth Certificate

Application for admission and study permit done by me with so much help and resources from this platform. Although it was an herculean task but I give God all the glory.

Congratulations!

Please what Canadian embassy should I address my statement of account?

It's been over two weeks I submitted my passport to vfs using UPS courier service, attached the necessary documents and 1 way return bank teller but I am yet to get a tracking id from vfs. I have used the live chat and email but no record of my passport. I have contacted ups and they confirmed repeatedly that my parcel was delivered successfully. So confused at this point. Will vfs send me the tracking ID when it's ready for collection after stamping or before it is sent to IRCC for stamping?
