after all America is indebted in trillions of dollars grin finance minister under Buhari..

The several billions of dollars that Amaechi used in constructing rail line to Maradi, Niger republic is enough to resuscitate power sector or construct several kilometres of federal roads. Why is it that we don't get our priorities right?

I'll always keep on making reference to Obasanjo. Himself and Okonjo Iweala went all around the world to ask for debt relief from us in 1999

They were at the Paris club begging for our debt to be forgiven. The same debt that Buhari and his fellow Soldiers as Military President put us into when they truncated power in 83 from Shagari.

Despite the Huge debts, Obasanjo was still able to increase the minimum wage to 3500 in 1999. Because the Paris club saw how serious Obasanjo and his team were. They gave us debt relief. We got it.

Let me tell you people something for free. This isn't 1999/2000. Nobody,I repeat Nobody will give us any debt relief this time around because they know the people in power are nothing but osinwin eniyan set of people.

We shall keep on using a chunck of our money to service debts.
they might give us... Make we try... Dis country is messed up

So imf should forgive your debt while the governors and president who squandered the loans should go Scot free without prosecution?Dey play.

This is the right question.
Some level of justice should be mete on those who got us in this position.
Otherwise, we will keep encouraging embezzlement, mismanagement and poor accountability.

IMF should cancel on these conditions. They reduce the salaries politicians earn by 70% and sell off all government cars and planes they collected use the money to pay some of their debts.

After 17yrs that Paris Club agreed to relief Nigeria of about $18 billion, we are still owing about $41.8 billion.
There is no significant utility of the so called money that was borrowed and you are seeking for relief ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ JOKERS!!!

Yinmu. It's part of the criteria you sign up to get the loan. That's why China faced infrastructure loans for them to build , operate and own till they recover their money .

If imf gives loans, the same individual who signed on behalf of the country opens a secret bank account in London and Switzerland, home countries of countries that own IMF. So who are they deceiving?

I think it'll be fair for IMF and other borrower to conduct a public survey from the citizens before borrowing or forgiving any debts of these African countries.
