Inflation In Nigeria Climbs To 26.72% In September 2023 - NBS by Omooba77: 1:17pm On Oct 16, 2023
Nigeria’s inflation rate has climbed to 26.72 per cent, marking a 0.92 per cent increase from the previous month’s 25.80 per cent.

The National Bureau of Statistics disclosed this on Monday via its latest Consumer Price Index report for September 2023. It was shared on the X handle of NBS.

The upsurge in inflation is mainly linked to the removal of petrol subsidies and the devaluation of the official exchange rate, both exerting substantial impacts on consumer prices.

It said, “September 2023, the headline inflation rate increased to 26.72 per cent relative to the August 2023 headline inflation rate which was 25.80 per cent.

“ Looking at the movement, the September 2023 headline inflation rate showed an increase of 0.92 percentage points when compared to the August 2023 headline inflation rate.

“On a year-on-year basis, the headline inflation rate was 5.94 per cent points higher compared to the rate recorded in September 2022, which was 20.77 per cent.

” This shows that the headline inflation rate (year-on-year basis) increased in September 2023 when compared to the same month in the preceding year (i.e., September 2022).”

See mugus trying to teach Igbos a lesson. All this inflation affect salary earners more. Igbos are predominantly businessmen. We will just increase price and still be okay

the limited income workers too will reduce demand to match their new buying power. How about that?

The best thing this government can do is to crash the price of food by subsidizing or whatever. Feeding is the primary most important. It will relieve tension instead of all these insulting palliative. Crash the food by whatever means. Period!

Apart from bad govt policies, our local producers are the reasons things are so expensive. These local producers can't produce enough for Nigerian consumption, they will encourage the govt to ban importation by lying that they are producing enough, govt will finally ban importation of the product which then lead to low supply, high demand and then high price embarassed. Rice and cement became expensive due to this fact, same with other commodities. Local production is supposed to go side by side with importation in order for consumers to have a choiceembarassed

Buhari is more intelligent, never knew Tinubu is this dumb.
No Wonder he forged his certificate.

God is not done yet. Tinubu still has a lot of question to answer both locally and internationally. His Presidency is hanging on a thread.

All we want is Tinubu, even as he demolishes our economy we don't care.
Tinubu's mission is to destroy the economy that no other President from other regions can revive it.
