My opinion is likely to be controversial, and so I apologise in advance to anybody I might offend.

Nigeria is too big for the incredibly under-resourced government to administer to any degree of efficiency.

In all honesty, the way to fix Nigeria is to be cut throat and ruthless. When a ship sinks, the surviors must leave the victims to drown in a straight choice between survicval and saving lives.

Most of the North is a foregone conclusion. Most northern states were unwieldy , infeasible and economically impotent. There is no hope for that part of the country. There never was. They were backward since 1914. They were ill-equipped at the dawn of independence, and they are feudalistic society in 2023, sharing more in common with Middle Eastern Culture than they do with us in the south.

As if the modern day serfdom that hold sway in most of Nothern Nigeria is not enough, they have also historically and contemporararily clung tight to the more violent tenets of fundamental Islam, and so the affliction of utterly senseless violence that is shared by so many majority Muslim countries is present there, as well as the associated desire to pursue a stone age lifestyle.

I personally would cut everything above the confluence line loose to go and sort them selves out, as a minimum starting point. There is no place for them on the lifeboat. They must drown. I'm sorry.

Then I would examine what's left. This potentially leaves me with a yoruba country from ayetoro spanning all the way west to the Benin Republic border and then all the way south to Otta.

I see Lagos as another country. The areas around Lokoja, Kogi etc can be the Benue Republic with access to the coast through the river. Then there's Biafra around a core Igbo identity although I'm not sure this the likes of Edo Delta or Rivets state will join them, and not having access to coastline could prove a serious sticking point.

I think the Niger Delta is likely to break out into civil war if given the opportunity to do so. There's too many chiefs, warlords and guns, the rewards of access to oil money are too great, and the historical fault lines are too deep. I think this combination is too potent, and they will likely drown.

I think the cross river and calabar region is its own country as well.

I don't have an answer for Edo.

This is my starting point. I'm on my phone and I don't have the energy to flesh out my ideas all at once, but you might be able to guess what my ideas might be in terms of economic policies, political organisation, security architecture, and immigration issues.

This makes sense, Gideon Orka had the right idea. Edo would likely go back to the old Bendel mold with Delta state.

I don't think its controversial, Many people have gone with this idea in the past but there are many complications

I guess I asked the 1st question 2nd.
I should start with what does a Working Nigeria look like, or what a working Yorubaland, Biafra, Niger Delta etc look like and lets see if there are examples of such in our subregion given our population, resources history and where we are currently?
When we have a realistic target and we are not benchmarking ourselves to countries that have 100 times our resources serving one-quarter of our current population we can now start working towards it.

If there is a Yoruba only country meaning say SW alone and a population of say 50M to 60M people and the resources we have.

I think if we compare to other nations with such resources and similar population within Africa to get an idea

Note these New countries will share the debts inherited from Nigeria from day 1 not like they will start on a clean slate and all the debts/liabilities will be wiped off

You don't have to answer today or even next week just think of the modalities that will make things get close to the state of "working" to realize how deep we are in this

Yes. Send a wire. Sometimes can hit the account same day or max next business day

You'll pay like $40 wire fees

Wire fee goes to the Nigerian bank or the service provider?

What of Revolut?

The person will be earning like ยฃ250 a month for services rendered, $40 is a bit much to take off the top, he might want to receive in Naira and convert himself if that's the case.

It is never late to buy dollar. Never in the history of niggadom has Naira appreciated against dollar. CBN is totally defenceless against dollar. Todays price will be cheap in 6 months

Yea, the Niger Delta states would simply break into like 3 states based on similarities. Asaba would probably do a referendum to decide where they'd go, Biafra or Bendel.

Okay if the amount is not much then it might not make sense, When I send like a lot of money I just do wires and its easier for me when doing EOY accounting and the narration also shows where its going

I know guys in EU who use Revolut too

How? In this life no matter how good or experienced you are, once you meet some people or things you automatically become allergic or weaker to them most of the time if not everytime. Ferguson took two deadly manyoo teams when they were still alive to meet apari but still collected his well packaged koboko. Even the revenge he was looking for in 2011 apari was the one who did the revenge.
Apart from ojoroguson and apari some examples of people and their nemesis are
Apari and conte.
Bayern and Chelsea.
Assnal and drogba
Arsene Wenger and champions league.
Nigeria and good leaders.
Naira and dollar.
Seun and not leaving his site for twitter.
Apc and plenty good policies.
Serena williams and naomi osaka.
Trevor012 and sense
Andrewbaba44 and not doing amebo.
Raumdeuter and airmark.

Is he aware that his president has decided to provide dollars for 43 items that can be produced locally?

I really do not blame him oh.... Honestly

There is a way you will put your hope on someone, and then when you see the nonsense they are doing, you begin to make sense of it.

E say make we break our Airtel SIM and use Glo

It is well .

Like u rightly said, his intelligence as far as his niche ( the tech world) is concerned is not in doubt . Same cannot be said about his political views and ideas on general social , economic and political issues . Most especially on how he throws a mix of religion here and there to obfuscate things and make it difficult for people to know what exactly he stands for .
