Please which platform do you invest. Also, how do you invest by USD cash payment since most platforms available accept only transfer.

Open an eurobond account.( I use FBN Quest) Open a dorm account with standard chattered. Pay in your dollar into your dorm account, transfer it to your eurobond account.

You can also use any other dorm account but you will pay excessive transfer charges.

I use United Capital, the beauty of their Eurobond Fund is that you can borrow against your Investments to the tune of 80% the black market rate value at interest rate of 18% per annum

Wow, the way things are going, everyone is betting against the naira. This will make a bad situation worse.

There's no standard chartered branch in my location. That'll be hard. Thanks by the way.

I use United capital as well but it's been a while I funded the account since fcmb stopped USD transfer. How do you fund it now?

1,240 dollar 🙄
That's too ridiculous

I've been thinking and wondering how government can intervene....
CBN claiming they have insufficient fx to defend naira,,,, I'm afraid honestly.

They might only pegged dollar at 1k

There is no better time to buy. If CBN intervenes and it crashes after you buy, even better. You buy more and average down.

Hello bro.
Please explain to me how it works.
This eurobond, what is the interest rate per annum if I invest? And does it mean I can borrow 80% of my equity with an 18% interest rate per annum? Can I decide to invest this 18% back?

If you buy direct you will need a minimum of $200,000 and earn up to 8%.

But if you buy the mutual fund you will need $1000 and earn between 5% to 7%. Minimum holding period is between 90 days to 180 days or else you will lose 20% of what you gained or earned

Eurobonds issued by Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana and all these struggling African countries are not risk free…where will they see the USD to repay when the time comes

Investing in Eurobonds issued by a country like Naija that is struggling to raise FX is as good as keeping your money in Naira. Go and find out what happened to Ghana Eurobonds investors when it was time to repay principal…

Eurobond is different from the local bond. With the local bond, the government can decide to print more Naira.

There are professional advisers to debt offers, issuing houses, corporate lawyer, Trustee etc for the local sovereign debts these professional advisers are Nigerians and based in Nigeria, for Eurobond these professional advisers are foreigners and not based in Nigeria.

Ask Osun State government during Aregbesola era when the state got funding from the debt market, investors were paid before CBN sent the monthly allocation to the state government
