It's just dead silence. Pried it open to see if I would perceive any smell, there was no smell at all . Please what could be the problem? hope it's not motherboard 🥺...

Around June this year, my Laptop developed a fault that I thought was battery-related, So I bought a New battery, # 20,000.
Only to discover the Issue was the Driver, I could not return the battery to the store and it just gathered dust on my shelve, so I thought about disposing of it. The battery Capacity in use is 6.5hrs (2750mah)

Firstly, I noticed that the tiny light that shines when the CAP LOCK key is On stopped displaying 2 days ago but the key still functioned.
I used the laptop in the afternoon (hp probook 4540s),i turned it on this night and went to chrome, when I was typing I noticed that each time I pressed the SPACE key it will automatically add FULL STOP to my typing I pressed BACKSPACE to delete and it turned the chrome to full page, with a pop up notification at the top that I should PRESS THE F11 BUTTON TO RETURN TO NORMAL PAGE size.
I tried typing in WhatsApp to know if the problem is exclusively to chrome but it's all the same.
I've tried troubleshooting the keyboard, uninstall keyboard from device manager and reinstalled it but it's still happening.

I have a Toshiba laptop that the keyboard soos working. But if press the keyboard on the surface it starts to work. So I tot it's keyboard. So I change it. Even with another keyboard I change. Same problem again. I tried installing the keyboard driver and touch pad. Still the same.

That's touchscreen malfunctioning, you either disconect it or replace it

This is a keyboard issue.

Please can this be fixed? And how much would it cost me. It’s a Sony laptop

this device is going to need hardware replacement most likely, better of getting a new one

Just post any problems you are having with your pc here. The more software related, the better.

If you're having virus, worms or any other malware problems. Try scanning your PC with RoboSAM first.

I have watched,read and do all that was instructed in series of digital materials to no avail nothing. I also noticed that my windows 11, 64bit based don't have developer mode to toggle on or off. I think that might just the main reason why I can't download and install software on my pc. Right now I'm so fed up trying to fix it. I don't know if I should reset the pc. Please help with your expert knowledge thanks .

seems both me and you have the problem together. I am really getting tired of using a laptop currently, the screen just stuck on the blue screen and it will not boot up.
