Ayisat Yusuf: Former Nigeria international gets coaching role in Finland Former Nigeria’s senior women’s national team player, Ayisat Yusuf Aromire has gotten a new coaching role in Finland. Ayisat has been appointed as the head coach of FC Viikingit U-11 and U-13 boys following the completion of her UEFA B coaching license and she took to her social media to share her excitement on Tuesday. “I’m thrilled to announce my new appointment as the new Head Coach of U11 and U13 Boys,” she wrote on her Facebook page. “This significant achievement comes just a few weeks after I obtained my UEFA B License with the Finnish Football Association. I perceive this appointment as an exciting new challenge and a crucial step forward in my coaching career. “Being entrusted with the responsibility of leading young talents in the U11 and U13 categories reflects the trust and confidence FC Viikingit has in my abilities.” In a heartfelt farewell message to her former empolyers IF Gnistan, she thanked the club for the amazing support and rich experience. “I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to my former club IF Gnistan, for the invaluable experience and growth opportunities I had while working with them. The time spent at Gnistän FC has undoubtedly shaped my coaching journey, leaving behind memories that will be treasured forever,” she continued. “I’m accepting this new position, I’m dedicated to bringing forth my expertise, enthusiasm, and passion to the development of the U11 and U13 boys with FC Viikingit. I’m committed to not only honing their football skills but also fostering a nurturing environment.” The Finland-based Ayisat Yusuf Yusuf played for several clubs in Nigeria and Finland before her retirement. She was a member of the Nigerian squad at the 2004 African Women’s Cup of Nations, the 2007 Women’s World Cup, and the 2008 Summer Olympics.

CAF is said to have different gender eligibility rules from FIFA but they are yet to confirm if they have made changes to allow the Copper Queens star to compete at next year’s tournament.

Tessyy1701: I really do hope the game is streamed but if they don't it won't be a big slap cause you can't shame the shameless. Please name the last time the NFF streamed a game in Nigeria if other media sources don't take up the responsibility. They don't have shame. Won't be surprised if at the end of the day it's a phone stream by someone in the stadium. 5 Likes |

lovewins: Super Falcons vs Ivory Coast and Nigeria vs Tanzania U23 come to mind but they are inconsistent. My hope was the NPFL app to show but that is looking unlikely. The thing is that even if they show, will the network allow us to watch the full match? That's our real problem. We need to find out how they did the Aisha Buhari Cup cos outside of that we have never watched a match online in peace. |

Abeg, who hear the state of Rinsola Babajide during her camp? Na Ogun State or Kogi she talk? See Celine Dion Voice!! |
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by lovewins: 3:20pm On Oct 31, 2023 |
BascoVanVeli: Yea. That was my hope too, but then I remembered no NPFL club currently uses the Abuja national stadium so setting up just for one game might not be feasible. The broadcast for the Aisha Buhari's cup was most likely subcontracted to someone. It was Presidential money, it would have been crazy not to include that in their budget. In all I think they are just incompetent. I remember they had a game in Benin or Warri (can't remember which) and they couldn't stream the game even though the state FA had a good streaming setup and had just streamed another competition seamlessly a few days before. |

But seriously… When have the NFF ever been able to stream a match played in Nigeria? The NFF is run by a bunch of morons and you expect them to care about streaming this game? Tessyy1701: 3 Likes |
