It's the most important piece of Netflix's animation adaptation push for excellence. I already expected better production quality overall.

The casting is great too especially as almost all the cast looks exactly like live-action versions of the characters.

Loki god of stories. Crazy stuff! This probably makes him one of the most powerful characters in MCU. Definitely the best thing to come out of Disney+

Netflix's promotion style is quite different from traditional studios promo. Also it's not a even theatrical movie.

They are obviously gonna deviate from the sourcem material with Azula introduced so early...

Dialogue shouldn't be a problem either. It's the delivery of the dialogue that matters...

Honestly if they could pull off One Piece which was previously seen as impossible to adapt...then they should be able to pull off ATLA

the One Piece production was more expensive than I anticipated...
So it's obvious they had to cut expenses somewhere...


The ATLA adaptation would obviously have a bigger budget and higher production quality cos it's more familiar to Western Audiences...so more viewers

I mean they both brought it with their performances, Sam Reid easily blew Tom Cruise's Lestat out of the water because he took the character to where Cruise was scared of taking it to evidently in Cruise's contract and Gaga put that Juliard's acting degree to good use,she won the Golden Globe for best actress in a miniseries the following year but let's be honest,who voted more for this? Gen Z? Even I'm Gen Z and yet I still acknowledge there were lots of TV vamps that deserves this title more not to mention the fact that we were only given one season each to see both characters in action,AHS :Hotel is even not on the list of best AHS seasons, it's just memorable because of Gaga and maybe Sarah Paulson, Angela Bassett and Kathy Bates

I understand the PTSD... Shyamalan cooked atrocious rubbish back then. Funny enough it also looked good visually, only to turn up to watch and find out it's total shite.

Prolly the reason why Netflix shelved the animation department amidst several cancellations and decided to mainly focus on acquiring content from other production studios.

So many long wait these days for premium content. It's probably only Apple TV plus and Amazon Prime that are very quick with their follow up seasons.

Even HBO, we'd wait till 2025 to get Euphoria S3 and The White Lotus.

The guy just one form realism on top fantasy movie. He did that based on the fact that the other benders can only bend when they have the elements before them. That rubbish move just cast big time

Maaan...It just clocked that it might even be a blessing in disguise because i actually have months of content to chew through already 😭😭. As long as you fall in love with One Piece, the number of episodes won't be an issue. There's years I didn't watch a single OP episode. There's months where I binged a 100. Even right now as we speak, I'm 300+ episodes behind and planning to catch up next year.

Moving is a solid 8/10 for me.
This is one of the most detailed series I've ever seen in my life. They took their time to tell every story of each characters and left no stone unturned.

If they want to be greedy, they could easily have brought out two seasons from these 20 episodes series but they decided not to milk it like the Americans and British always do with their series.
This is one thing i respect about Koreans and Asians in general, they are always not after money but they just want to tell beautiful stories in their series and movies and if it will take 40 episodes to tell their story and give every details, then that's what they will do and no wonder lots of their series doesn't go pass 1 or 2 seasons.

Anyways i love the "moving" series so much and it's blend of history, romance, sacrifice, action, thriller and mystery all packed in one beautiful series and i love that it has a happy ending.
Of course i know there will be a second Season with the way it ended but at least the season one has a happy ending.

I didn't really hate the last movie when I first watched it...

Cos I wasn't an ATLA fan and I didn't care much about the source material then...

But when I rewatched ATLA, I truly realized how bad the movie was

One Piece has some of the craziest Foreshadowing and mystery...
The world building is some of the best in fiction.

I once showed here some posts about timeline of events in One Piece and it's crazy...
So many events throughout thousands of years even before the present timeline of the show

The Netflix adaptation is good but the goofiness is toned down

I'll suggest the trick I used:

It took me about 5 years to catch up, but you can do it in less than a year.

Watch like 150-200 episodes at a stretch, then take a one month break...then repeat...
You'll be going by arcs...most of the later arcs are like 100-150 episodes long
