Obasanjo na dictator wey off uniform wear agbada, but still tried for this country with his economic policies/setting the country back on path to prosperity.

Unfortunately, the same way he laid foundation for a prosperous economy, he laid foundation of fraudulent electoral process.

Na why I just dey look una argument yesternight.

Almost everyone knows what happened in Kogi on Saturday is broad daylight electoral fraud. Imagine they can't even perfect it immediately, na work-in-progress..... I'm sure all the other contestants know going to court will be in futility if they learn anything at all from the last presidential election judgment.

This doesn't make sense. Tinubu was never indicted. He was investigated and he came out clean. I remember telling homestead that the 460k that was forfeited for most likely for Tax evasion and it turns out I was right.

How can you say someone launder money and the money was released to him, he wasn't indicted, didn't do jail term or even arrested.

Your hatred for the man has beclouded alot of you guys thinking big time.

How we go do am?

Of course, the courts will tell them to establish proof beyond reasonable doubt. INEC that's supposed to stand independent and be source of proof are busy cooking results on the back end...case is dead on arrival. APC e-warriors will come online and say opposition lawyers no sabi book grin grin grin grin

The game is the game.

Of course, If you follow Tinubu colloquium that he does on his birthday annually, he always give his advice on how things can be improved on.

There's one that Buhari was the Guest Honor of the day and Tinubu was talking about how to tackle and reduce corruption in the civil service. He practically told Buhari then that Efcc alone cannot eradicate corruption from the civil service until a credit system is made paramount instead of the cash and carry system we currently operate. A gave an example, A civil servant that has been working for say 6-10yrs, how does this civil servant buy a car or get a home? If he wants either, he will be required to pay cash for it, if his salary cannot fund it, he looks for way to game the system to get the cash to buy the car/house. But a credit system where civil servant can use their job/salary to get these things on credit while they pay installmently will help reduce corruption in the civil servant by a big stretch. Likewise mortgage for houses.

When they wanted to increase VAT to 7.5% also, in that year Colloquium, Tinubu pleaded with V.P Osibanjo and his team not to go ahead with the increase of VAT because it will reduce the purchasing power of the masses and further throw more into poverty. He rather suggested that the tax net be expanded to include those whose income are taxable but not currently paying taxes into the tax net, he even suggested luxury tax that target the elite. But what did Osinbajo did? They went ahead with the VAT increase anyways. I think that's when Tinubu stop disturbing himself with any advice if they are not going to consider it.

I still think they should go to court. Unlike the presidential where we all knew going to court was a waste of time, several governorship elections have been upturned. There's still that chance no matter how little that the court can right the wrongs of INEC.

It's quite strange that Tinubu is thinking of taxing tertiary institutions. We're not sure whether they can even survive independent of government funding, guyman wan plug pipe inside their pocket join.

Yet to get full details of the idea behind that taxation, but it doesn't look good.

Not advisable especially for those of us who reside in Nigeria

Most of the vehicles we buy are high mileage cars. If you have ever witnessed auctions on copart/Iaai, you will understand better. Oyinbos no dey take eye see low mileage cars. They will keep bidding and outbidding each other. Nigerians don't stand a chance except the dealer has no intention of making profit. They usually leave the high mileage units for us.

This means by the time most of these vehicles get here, there's very little juice left in the battery. Whatever savings you hope to make on fuel, you can easily spend tripple replacing the battery.

Secondly, lack of technical know-how is a challenge. Our rewires and mechanics with their crude methods cannot properly fix these cars. You will be at the mercy of the few ones who can fix it.

The sweet spot is if you can get it brand new or import a unit with low mileage so you can enjoy the battery and vehicle before the issues start. However, this option will cost a whole lot of money.
Well put, i know a friend who abandoned his Toyota Prius because of dead battery. I had plans to buy a brand new Kia Rio or GAC GA4 next year, but high dollar price and cost of this vehicles currently has killed that plan. Make i dey use my Matrix Jeje 😁...

Yea, they should all go to court, even for presidential, it serves a certain purpose to critique and document failing processes.

He is unfortunately subscribing to the school of Elon musk.

There are plenty of billionaires out there who carefully curate what they put out and manage their image.

Throughout the time bill gates was running microsoft he had that geeky boyish image that belied the fact that the man was stone cold hard core business man who occasionally played away match

We only learnt about Jeff bezos because MBs hacked him.

But Elon does not want to respect himself and is looking for internet clout and adulation and some people who should know better are following him. Matters are made worse by the army of sycophants who will tell you your shit smells like roses.
