Going forward goalkeeper and wasteful attackers may just be the setback to this team world cup qualifications. |

At the risk of being called a revisionist, I believe that team which played Athletico Madrid in Uyo should have formed the bedrock of the national team going forward. Had we built on that team we would have become the best team in Africa. I had this revelation immediately after tonight's game and decided to put it out. 2 Likes |

elyte89: I support this idea. This thread can form a force that can effect a positive change in our football. We must not stand aside and watch everything about Nigeria colapse. We can use the power of social media to our advantage and that might be the beginning of a new era in Nigeria. The committee must write to the NFF immediately and extend the same letter to the ministry of sports. In proffering a solution, we should suggest 5 competent coaches from Nigeria and abroad. This is our only country, this is the only thing that unites us. This is our major source of joy and pride as a Nation. We must get involved! Jpes must go NOW! 3 Likes |

Awoniyi broke Aiyegbeni long held record Today. I've always posted on every platform on social media that if you are a keen and passionate follower of football for years and decades and understand the game, you'll know Nigeria as it stands now don't have a team that's a world beater. The team is a total average team. I mean the super eagles. How do you expect a team without a world class coach or even a good goalkeeper to be impactful in games? . How do you expect a team without a compact midfield or with no creative midfielder to do anything special in matches? How can a team with no inspirational leader win games? How can a team with no influential captain other players can look up to win matches convincingly and remain consistent in winning? How do we expect a super eagles who don't have set pieces specialists, those who can convert set pieces and not waste them as they do thrive? As it stands, all the aforementioned are the problem of this present super eagles and until we accept that this team is average and look for a Coach that can mould out new enterprising players, we may not have that joy with the super Eagles for a long time to come. The super Eagles as it stands now is lacking in almost all the things that makes a team a good team and world beater. You can hardly see any of the present super Eagles player take on or dribble up to 2 or 3 of their opponents successfully without making mistakes in the end or handing over the ball to opponents. They don't play with confidence and that's the reason you see them passing the balls immediately at instances they're supposed to hold on to the ball and make something reasonable out of it. They don't mind sending back the ball to players behind them at any little threats From opponents. The team is whacked for now. Copied. 3 Likes |

So Jose Peseiro has deployed the same approach and tactical set-up for several games and the outcomes in performance has been exactly the same each time...even against very poor opposition it has resulted in an unnecessary struggle. How many more times will he repeat the same 'invisible midfield trick' and hope this time around time it works? @thenff needs to be merciful and rescue him....also deep down he must know the end of the road has come. 2 Likes |

JP is just being strong headed and we will see where it will lead us to. It will be at the expense of Afcon triumph and the World Cup Qualifiers. I wrote those above words some hours ago. Our world cup qualifing campaign is already in jeopardy. If the NFF is competent,JP must be sacked immediately after the game against Zimbabwe. If we fail to win in Kigali against Zimbabwe,we should kiss the world cup in 2026 goodbye. We will get pummeled in Afcon 2024 if JP is still in Charge,it will be our worst outing since we began participating. He kept Nathan Tella on the bench,JP must be a clown. Nathan is the best winger in our team presently. He doesn't play to the gallery, dude is direct in his play. From his team list,it is evident that employing the journey man is a big mistake, renewing his contract is a bigger mistake. Where is Pinnick?, He got almost all the coaches appointment wrong. The only exception was RW,the super falcon coach. It's in the interest of the nation that we do away with JP as soon as next week Wednesday. A draw against the weakest team in the group at home, what a big shame JP must go. 5 Likes |

Na who dey reason this country. Who will sack Peseiro? Something that has been arranged. That's why the man is busy doing whatever he wants to do. Is it not better we use the money paid to these guys for something else while employing our local coaches. This is not football. I don't even understand how this man thinks. And to say he has coached teams before super eagles, one begins to wonder, is he not improving at all? Does he not see these lapses? why is he this rigid even to change an underperofming keeper or to fine tune his setup? Who did this to us? Anyway the earlier we reduce the hype on this team the better. nothing is wrong with the players. Peseiro is tactically not good QED. . 2 Likes |

I really do not think we have that many good players. A lot of people are expecting wonders. How many good coaches would want to coach Nigeria? We are always sacking coaches but the common denominators are our players. Sack JP and employ who? Do we have the funds to hire a grade A coach . Do we have the players that can execute the ideology of such a coach. We need to face reality and stop living on past glory. Team is average at best. A few good players here and there but no spine in the team. Lower your expectations!!! |

We've arrived at a time where what we are seeing is evident for all to conclude with. Don't come here and be saying luck or we are overreacting or na we we. Let them kill the consistency of underwhelming results and everyone knows how crazy we are behind the team. Kilode sef? One key aspect of inviting in-form players is to get part of it in national minutes. But this man even made me forget in-form players were on the bench sef. He made it even worse by giving Aribo minutes again.. A kid will see these subs and conclude this man can't read anything in 90mins. 1 Like |

joelsteron: If same players are scoring in Europe but not scoring here. I'll think it's the system and not the players. The team is not balanced. Football is about goals but there's what needs to be done to get the goals. We need midfielders. How come it's only the coach that doesn't know this. If Lesotho planned to win, they could have won. 2 Likes |
