People that sat down and watched how we laboured just to qualify from a group of minnows during the last WCQ under rohr are still asking for rohr back. Nigerians are really special characters. That we want pj out does not mean we have to go backward na.

If Passeiro abi Pisseiro fails to beat Zimbabwe on Sunday, he has TO BE FIRED ON THE SPOT, no too much grammar on that one, failure to do that then the NFF glasshouse should be vandalized and burnt down. Let FIFA ban us no wahala.

Going forward the overloading of strikers in our team at the expense of the midfield STOPS NOW. Ivory coast played a simple 433 with actual midfielders and the rest was history. The 424/442 madness ends now, with no Ndidi in that midfield it's madness asking Iwobi or the others to do the job a natural defensive midfielder should be doing. We don't need the likes of Moffi, Awoniyi, and Sadiq in the team, these players are more or less the same type of players. The front attack should only consist of Osimhen, Boniface, Gift Orban and Akor Adams (those last two because they actually have more ball playing skills and all round better goal scoring abilities than the likes of Awoniyi and Moffi).

Midfielders must always be at least 6-7 in number going forward, the invitation of only 4 midfielders stops now, we're not in the 90's when 442 was the order of football, now games are won or lost from the midfied!

Lastly players like Aribo should be phased out for good, he's in his late 20's now and has badly regressed, can't even get minutes in the freaking championship for goodness sake. The likes of Ifeanyi Matthew, Alhassan Yusuf, Folorunsho, Igoh Ogbu, Jordan Torunarigha and any of the fringe players who are having good seasons across Europe have to be called up now. That defence needs to be shored up cause Bassey just doesn't cut it for me.

Any talk of midfield invitations without Kelechi Nwakali shows you people are still not ready for progress and truths. There is no one, absolutely no one in the team with the same midfield profile Nwakali boasts.

You call Ifeanyi, Yusuf... so Nwakali isn't doing well too?

When will you fans learn?

It hurts but still... the truth has to be said

I will be opening up issues layer by layer in this write up. Sadly, it's nothing new from what I have written previously. Sitting here and arguing and debating will not solve the problem.
First question... How did we become a directionless, pattern less and reckless team in the past 7 years?

Question 2.... What is the way forward?

Let's start with 1. This happened to us because we Nigerians think we can violate basic principles and not get punished for it. Basic principles such as discipline, dignity, integrity, dedication and perseverance. We want what we want and we want it now regardless of how we get it. Our leaders in the FA started out by fighting each other. Giwa vs Pinnick. No clear cut road map for how to move existing structures in our football to the next level. Keshi got frustrated by FA folks who felt he was just a bloody employee. How dare he talk about his ill treatment publicly?

Then enters Oliseh into the picture, a no nonsense eurocentric who had all the making of a good tactician but was highly vocal about ill doings in the FA and promptly resigned and is still bring vilified till today for where our football is currently. Then comes the Mr man manager. One that manages men but lacks the passion and desire to win... always ready with his excuse that the team is the youngest in the world. Man manager spent 6 years building on sand. And we can bear witness that it still is the same set of players we had when he got in with exception of John Obi Mikel and VicMo.

Man manager introduced the never before seen Era of shambolic displays of our beloved Super Eagles. He started good and we were winning not minding how we were winning. Man manager was not interested in making his team a formidable force as it became an anything goes affair. He became tactically bereft of ideas and was promptly found out. He had the chance to stamp out mediocrity bur no.... he it was that basically rubber stamped and enthroned mediocre displays. Players knew the starting 11 come what may before any invites were rolled out. And so whatever we were known for as a footballing nation was thrown into the bin. Now we are called Average. Our players are labeled all kinds.

Scouting no longer necessary since we now have Foreign boros abi na foreign borns. Ok now.... How far if we may ask, have we gone since we got suckered into the lies of modern football? If it ain't working for you, why can't it be thrown away?
Abi shey na modern football all african countries dey play? The basics of teamwork and team blend has been discarded. Once a striker starts scoring, na to invite am... forgetting that club footie and national team footie are 2 different lanes that can not meet.

And then there is the talk of top 5 leagues where a player must be playing before he can get a look in and not what a player brings to the table.

Enters the one that Provides Lies { Pese Iro}. Man wants to play 424 all cost. I don't even wanna blame him at all. When you buy scam, you get scam. No point complaining about being scammed. The original sin was hiring this man. However , the greater sin is renewing his contract... much the same way Man Manager's contract was renewed when he should have been fired after 2018 world cup. And the cycle goes on... and on .... and on. I hope we get to see a pattern.

Answer to question 2.....
Dissolve all football infrastructures in the country. Country kuku don hard as subsidy on fuel has been removed. Let's kuku reset all structures and go back to status quo with a blueprint of what we want to be in football. If fifa bans us for doing so... then so be it!

Let there be football reforms starting from grass root implementation to club footie. Dissolve all FAs and get a proper infallible system that can stand toe to to with best practices in the world. Remove God fatherism in the FA that has a strong hold on the coaches list. Scouting needs to be taken seriously. National team is not a place for slouch and slackers. It is a serious thing. If you aren't ready to play like guardiola is your coach... abeg dey your dey. Enough is enough....

Let's not forget... This is a nation of at least 200 million people. E no suppose hard like that

Nigerians love wicked bad leaders ,that's why they celebrate a drug dealer, certificate criminal in power. There is no way you can convince me Nigerians don't appreciate the lovely chains used to lock their brains up by their leaders who use religion and tribalism to manipulate them.

What is your definition of merit🤔 playing in the NPFL.
People willing to give 100% for the country
Desire, warrior like mentality, desperation to go to the world cup
They shouldn’t bother coming if they’re not yearning & willing to do everything to get results
There are home based players willing to prove a point if given the opportunity
Some bench players, lack of team chemistry & bad gaffer won’t cut it
I fear when we play South Africa & Benin

He's an average player, I only care about what you do in national colors. Look at his mates in Ivory coast, Cameroon etc sinking minnows with goals. After Osimhen and maybe Akor and Orban the rest of our strikers are just RUBBISH.

Mention the world class players in the national team then since you only care about the national colors.

The point is get a good coach with tactical acumen, then give him time. Not just any local coach. Eguavoen is a Guardiola wanna be. He has no ideas besides trying to reinvent SE of the 90s. You need a coach like Amuneke, then give him all the support and time. Oliseh should maybe replace Eguavoen as NFF technical director. Someone who is always in the FIFA technical committee definitely knows more about these matters and would have better judgement.

It's all conjecture until it is done. When Amunike comes in now and things go south, we will cry for him to be relieved from the job. That's my point.
I'm neither for or against Eguavoen, Amunike or Siasia. And an argument for or against can be made for every one of them.

I've never rated Awoniyi, does a decent job for Nottingham but he lacks that fundamental technique and finesse you need in a modern day striker
He's never impressed me as an attacker in the SE. Saw him during Afcon and he's lacking in PRESENCE.

Happened to Oruma. He never felt at home as a ten because Jay Jay had so made the position his own. Same thing appears to be happening to Awoniyi. Osimhen has stamped himself as the main man. Awoniyi feels like a counterfeit.

Nigeria beat saotome 16-0 with peseiro as the coach and osimhen on the 2legged affairs.
Forget no striker cam be compared to Osimhen in the super eagles…
Awoniyi carelessness in front of goal, Lookman selfishness to release pass…this is where osimhen trump over these guys..:osimhen will create chances and still convert his own chances.
Against Lesotho home and away 2021 Afcon qualifiers
Les 2-4 Nig away match
osimhen scored two goals and assisted one
We just need osimhen against all these minnows and see how we go pound them

Other countries play 17 years old players. But that's not the case with us. We don't even extend invite to them. Is is that we don't have any special talent?

I like Awoniyi he's an affable chap but what you have said about him is the plain naked truth.

He has been in the setup for a while now but hasn't really shown that he's a reliable outlet for goals in the absence of Osimhen.

His lack of PRESENCE for a big guy really worries me and if people like Akor or Orban come into the SE and start performing his chances in the national team will reduce.

I'm not totally going to write Taiwo off cos he's a determined and focused player but he has to realise that the window of opportunity is closing especially as Nigeria is currently blessed with an abundance of attacking options.
