Smile, you belittling the Super Eagle. The world cup qualification is a maranthon. Do not lose hope. We have the personnel to be the best in Africa if we change our orientation and have the believe that we can achieve anything we set out to do. South Africa players are not Messi and Ronaldo. I understand you talking from the point of pain. I went thru it too..but brother we do not have quality players in the shambolic association football we play that we call NPFL. The only players i know in that choatic league are few goal keepers...every other outfield player is not a material for the super eagles...if am wrong you can help by listing any above average player in the league that can immediatelydisplace any super eagle player currently position wise. Thank you. yinkeys: |

I think it's high time we talked about the local players that have played for us starting from the 2013 keshi team and their career progression. How come majority if not all of them don't make that much headway in their career wherever they go? Is it lack of ability or agent issue? I can't remember any local based player who played for the national team and excelled (outside of Musa and etebo to an extent) right from keshi's time. |

Don't be surprised those that owned salaries for years are busy enjoying their loot We're just making sacrifices for the politicians to loot in the NFF |

dijon:This is the lie that’s been spread for over a decade We don’t have the quality. I don’t wish to hear anymore of this We can start by changing the entire goalkeeping department Some individual talents are sidelined because they’re not in good teams When Rohr doesn’t watch NPFL Just watched European games and chose to make his job easy Peseiro wasted peoples time and money going to watch local games. He’s a below par coach with very poor cv Coaches like Siasia or Eguavoen’s cv much better than his Nigeria wish just a cash grab thanks to his connections The politicians at the glass house are out for their pockets Waldrum did a good job at the World Cup Instead of settling welfare issues and sorting out a new contract for him they chose not to. We should have given him time to build on what he started. Thanks to their ego he’s gone. Don’t be surprised when Nigeria don’t qualify for womens Afcon, Olympics or World Cup one day Keshi’s formula of blending home & foreign based is the best if you ask me. Sad Nigeria won’t qualify for the tournament in America NFF’s fault South Africa will not want to slip up seeing the table |

This needs to change. I listened to Sunday mba’s radio interview some months ago. He said that if the eagles invited aren’t willing to give 100% on the pitch for Nigeria they should fake injury and not bother coming, he said it would be much better than disappointing us. He said that’s one of the reason super eagles aren’t playing well. Commitment level or possibly standards dropped No be me talk am o Na SunDay MBA AFCON winner Obi Mikel set talk am |

*smile*, brother all you have mentioned is in the public discourse. Do we have upto 5 quality players in the association league mind you i did not say 1 quality player nor Professional league we play in this country?. If we do and you think they can immediately replace the players we parade in SE presently please bring them up..you never mind know we can push their case. I honestly think what we need to change asap is the technical dept. A top quality coach. yinkeys: |

To avoid that Angola repeat, we need to beat whoever the group leaders are home and away. Not even 4 points. But 6. That will make up for this stale draws they started with. Anything else, if we like, score 70goals. |

Those still clamoring for Nwakali like asif his entry will suddenly solve all the issues in this team are hilarious, sincerely. He can come and do well and the gk issue persists. He can also come and be average and more proof that you guys overrated him. 2 Likes |

We should just forget about this world cup. The players are not ready. NFF is not serious. Also, I think there's conspiracy against Nigeria. Our matches came too soon. Artificial turf was approved for Nigeria. Lesotho and Zimbabwe would be playing their home matches in South Africa. That's more home matches for SA, a team in same group. Who does that? NFF didn't notice or protest any of this. Algeria protested our last match in 2018 even when they were already out. |

After AFCON, it is crucial for the national team managers to arrange high-quality friendlies to incorporate talented players like Amas Obasogie, Olise Ndah, Ebenezer Akinsanmiro, Victor Eletu, Tochukwu Nnadi, and Igoh Ogbu into the squad. This strategic move will enhance team cohesion and provide an opportunity for these promising players to showcase their skills on the international stage. |

Reeling names of players when the fundamental issues remain unresolved is somewhat funny. If JP has prime Mikel, Okocha and even Oliseh available he would most likely set up the team with the wrong structure... leading to stifled performances. I think Pinnick's experiment with Rohr worked partially cos Rohr had reasonable coaching experience on the continent.....JP is learning too many things on the job..using the SE as lab rats which isn't good enough. 3 Likes |

daveP: I agree with you. This is where the coach needs to do more thinking and screening. I agree Iwobi will be most suited supplying the final passes for the forwards but I think Peseiro is also prioritizing build up plays and is going with what he has available. If he studies the players outside the box, I believe he can get a better set up to get a more balanced play. However, he can not achieve this if he does not prioritize the number of midfield players in camp. |

daveP: No one is overrating Kelechi Nwakali. We just said we need someone sound in deep lying playmaking role. Kelechi Nwakali is a natural for the role. He is not a magic wand but an extra dimension to our play. 2 Likes 1 Share |
