garfield1:What is wrong with this boy. Is it your eyes that is paining you or your brain? Did you not see under "Further Particulars" that an evidence not initially listed can be called by leave of the Court to ensure fair hearing? Is a subpoenaed witness not a witness summoned by court? Stop playing daft boy. I don't like it! Section 177 does not give a criteria to be a member of a party. It only says such individual must be a member of a party and must be sponsored as one. Has NNPP denied Abba Yusuf's membership? Have they denied sponsoring him? You are only bringing what is extraneous to the matter to defend a foul judgement 1 Like |

Kukutenla:don't bother arguing, they are in Apc and they will defend their party,They will even defend the indefensible so forget we know the game. If someone from one of the opposition party can spend 2billon to get a ruling on Senate election in his favor then what are you going to expect from a ruling party. |

Bizibi:Well, we still need to inform innocent minds if not this APC bot will indoctrinate them. You will see them running out telling you to blame the opposition lawyers for not being smart when the judgement is clearly flawed. They'll tell you APC lawyers were simply brilliant. Imagine a SC judge saying the subpoenaed deposition of the CSU registrar is not admissible in court because it was not stamped by the court or notary public when the reference he read clearly said it must be "signed or stamped". I find it disgraceful that the judges are pooh-poohing the sanctity of the electoral system. It is fundamental to our democracy. Just look at this now. How did the registrar rejecting a petition get to become trashing evidence? Which road dem for meet? 1 Like |

[quote author=seunmsg post=127127763] Dwelling on the merit of the case will be an academic exercise and a waste of time since the evidences have been expunged already. As it is, it is as if the evidences were never presented. As for Umahi, Akpabio and Lawan, it is settled law that only the political party can present candidates. The issue of who the party presents is an internal affair of the party ans as such, the court can't rule otherwise. The court used the same principle and law used to validate the candidacy of Lawan and co to validate the candidacy of Peter Obi, Alex Otti and other Labour Party candidates that joined the party after the submission of the party register. If the party is to interfere in the affairs of who the party presents, the candidacy of almost all LP candidates would have been invalidated. [/qkeep. Until Nigerians rise against all these politicians, our votes will never count. Until INEC and Judiciary stop giving winning to the highest bidder, our votes will never count. I think sooner or later, INEC and Judiciary will soon know how to run to an exile. Nigerians are coming for you. |
