Update on this my post from last month. Thanks to everyone that responded. So I eventually got my biometrics request letter 10 days after submission. I didn't contact IRCC during the wait because the page said to wait till 30 days before contacting them on an ongoing application. Brief details on my case: This is not my first Canadian visit visa. I also have a valid US visa. My old biometrics was to expire in 2027, and I had just renewed my Passport to a 10 year passport, so I opted to re-submit biometrics so that I could be issued a longer validity visa. Yes. They issued me a 10 year visa. Here is my timeline again Submitted my application online on October 14th Didn't get my biometrics request letter immediately. It took 10 days. Got Biometrics request letter on October 24th Checked for appointments on October 25th and Scheduled Biometrics capture for October 27th Got Passport request letter and Biometrics Validity letter on November 3rd Checked for appointments on November 5th and booked an appointment for Passport submission on November 7th I asked the lady who collected my Passport if I could pay for courier to return my Passport and she gave me a form to fill. I paid with my Naira debit card at her counter. Got a series of emails as my passport was moved around. I got an SMS from DHL that my Passport was picked up in Lagos on November 10th I received my Passport with the 10 year visa via DHL on 13 November 2023 MaryAndrews: 4 Likes |

I did my biometric on 23rd October 2023 but haven't gotten any mail or passport submission request. This is my first application on canada visit visa. Could anything be wrong? Someone said I should wait from 3 to 6month. Please someone should enlighten me, thanks |

Greetings everyone. I am a permanent resident of Canada and would like to invite my sister. Should I use the GCKEY or the IRCC portal? Thanks in anticipation of your advice. |

The new Portal is much more easier and less complex and it's faster also ... I would suggest you use ircc new Portal .. ikemummy: 3 Likes |

I booked an appointment on on VFS website https://www.vfsglobal.ca/IRCC-AppointmentWave1/ You will need to create a new user profile. I chose VFS Lagos and navigated through. Type of appointment is "Passport Submission" appointment. Just take your time to read instructions as you progress. If there are no appointments available, give it time and check again later. babapressy:The trending video about where Nigerians seeking asylum lives in Canada. Most of them used VV when the options of LMIA to get work failed. So it's not a palatable news & govt has warned citizens without proper documentation not to emback on such journey. It's well |

Izreali:If it's a conference, a letter of invitation isn't necessary. Just register and pay for the conference, where applicable and upload registration confirmation page alongside the paid invoice for the conference on the portal in the column where invitation letter upload is indicated. But if its an event to which you're invited, you'd need a letter of invitation from the organiser. With a good travel history, a visa applicant doesn't need to worry about much documentation. But if you're a first time applicant, the VO would profile you as a potential immigrant so, the onus is on you to prove them wrong by uploading as much documents as possible, guaranteeing convincing ties to your home country. |

Hello house. Anyone here that can put me through on booking my flight to Canada with a visiting visa. Flexible dates and also information with regards to transit visas. I don’t want to be a victim of agents 🙏🏾 |
Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by Ashirioluwa: 3:32am On Nov 27, 2023 |
bigfatthing: With a Canada visa, you don't need a transit visa to transit through any European or African country. You can book your ticket on any of the airline websites or you can use any of the following to book or compare prices. - skyscanner.com - priceline.com - qatarairways.com - wakanow.com - turkishairlines.com - eygptair.com Don't transit through the USA unless you have a US visa because the US airports don't have transit halls and every passenger is treated as if the US is their last stop. 2 Likes 2 Shares |

Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by Ashirioluwa: 10:24am On Nov 27, 2023 |
babapressy: As of today, the processing time for applications submitted in Nigeria is 106 days, therefore, it’s too early to start worrying about October’s application. The processing time is just for reference only. Some applications will be processed within that timeframe while others will fall outside the timeframe. 1 Like 1 Share

teekaymax: Share what? @teekaymax is here in Nigeria still looking for ways to japa. That man doesn’t even have information on how to survive in Nigeria. You need first hand information from someone who traveled to Canada recently with visitor visa, who is in same situation like you. 2 Likes |
