Bobloco: Let’s be realistic, you know it is impossible for the price to reduce to 200/liter with no subsidy If some sort of subsidy is not coming back then forget about that 200/liter. 1 Like |

Half a year into his administration...and just like his predecessor, BAT has refused to appoint a minister of petroleum. It was bad enough that he went all the way to Chatham House in the UK (the land of our colonial oppressors) to unveil his vision for Nigeria. And yet he couldn't even do the unveiling himself...he ended up with a strange, highly dubious delegation of that key responsibility to other people...a decision that was nothing but a monstrosity and an aberration - which he gleefully described as 'teamship' (whatever that means). And so a man who couldn't tell Nigerians his vision for Nigeria, has appointed himself minister of petroleum - in addition to all his other duties and responsibilities. This is not wise and it shows we have learnt nothing from the Buhari years. What happens for example, if lawmakers require him to explain certain aspects of petroleum policy...and ministers of state or permanent secretaries cannot stand in for him at the hearing? He will leave matters of state to attend to legislative enquiries - enquiries that he simply isn't competent to address? But that isn't even likely to happen - he probably will ignore the summons. So what does that portend for the ministry he superintends? We have said it a thousand times: BAT is not the answer. |

Enough of the vows and the "wills" We need action not all this empty promises. Gambian President slashed the pay of it top officials by 50%. Yet Nigerian rigged President is given us vows. |
