Bobloco:

“Mr. President promised that very soon the current exorbitant prices of the Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) popularly known as petrol would be “greatly reduced,” he added.

Petrol pump price was #187/litre when Tinubu came in, today it sells at almost #700/litre. if paraventure it reduced to #500/litre can that be described as "greatly reduced" The answer is an emphatic No!

The real "greatly reduced" Nigerians are expecting is below #200/litre or better still take it to the price where he met it which is #187/litre

Anything other than the above, Professor Garba Sharubutu, who is claiming to be speaking on behalf of Tinubu might actually be speaking for himself

Let’s be realistic, you know it is impossible for the price to reduce to 200/liter with no subsidy

If some sort of subsidy is not coming back then forget about that 200/liter.

From the first 30 minutes of his administration, he hit the ground. The generational fraudulent fuel subsidy is gone forever.

He has assembled the best workmen in the country and continues to secretly consult others who are the best in the country.

Something that he failed to do in Lagos since 1999, hence the huge debt in spite of high IGR and federal allocation that is not matched with government services and utilities

Lagos, the commercial hub of Nigeria, has been ranking as one of the worst places to live in the world for the nine straight years, a BusinessDay analysis shows.

Data from the 2019 Global Liveability Index published by the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), the world’s leader in global business intelligence, shows the city has been within the range of 137th-139th position out of a total of 140 cities in the world from year 2011-2019.

Give him Credit for that.

What percentage of federal government responsibilities is passport issuance? 5% or 20%?

Another Big lie from Builder of Lagos. See how people are impoverished to walk for Unity and peace. Prices of basic amenities are beyond many today especially drugs. No policy in place. No refinery, Dollar to Naira is huge. grin grin grin grin

Builder of Lagos or destroyer of Lagos

1. The first governor to present a billion Naira state budget in Nigeria.

2. He phased out the shift system in Lagos schools in three months. He built functional classrooms to absorb those who only attend schools for three hours a day.

3. He opened up what is now known as the Lekki Corridor.

4. He built the biggest Housing estate by a state government at Abesan, along with five other estates.

5. He built LASU, LACOED, LASPOTECH and Technical schools to absorb the products of the free education policy.

6 He built General Hospitals and Health centers in all the five divisions of Lagos. He also upgraded General Hospital Ikeja to the Medical arm of LASU.

7. He created the Agric hub at Oko Oba. He also created similar hubs in Ikorodu, Epe and Badagry.

8. His government’s strict adherence to the party manifesto of Free Education, Free Health care, Rural integration and Housing for all, along with other UPN governors, created the largest pool of human resources in Nigeria.

9. He moved the Lagos State Government Secretariat from PWD to Alausa, which he built from scratch. He also lived in his personal house and drove his personal car throughout his tenure.

Re: Tinubu Vows To Crash Petrol Price, Eliminate Hardships by Fujiyama: 4:29pm On Nov 26, 2023
undecided

Half a year into his administration...and just like his predecessor, BAT has refused to appoint a minister of petroleum.

It was bad enough that he went all the way to Chatham House in the UK (the land of our colonial oppressors) to unveil his vision for Nigeria. undecided And yet he couldn't even do the unveiling himself...he ended up with a strange, highly dubious delegation of that key responsibility to other people...a decision that was nothing but a monstrosity and an aberration - which he gleefully described as 'teamship' (whatever that means).

And so a man who couldn't tell Nigerians his vision for Nigeria, has appointed himself minister of petroleum - in addition to all his other duties and responsibilities. This is not wise and it shows we have learnt nothing from the Buhari years. What happens for example, if lawmakers require him to explain certain aspects of petroleum policy...and ministers of state or permanent secretaries cannot stand in for him at the hearing? He will leave matters of state to attend to legislative enquiries - enquiries that he simply isn't competent to address? But that isn't even likely to happen - he probably will ignore the summons. So what does that portend for the ministry he superintends? undecided

We have said it a thousand times: BAT is not the answer.
