Illiterate opolopolr. Naturally, the Benin people are always envious of we the Yorubas. That's why they'll keep lagging behind in the scheme of things. 5 Likes 2 Shares |

Benin not only founded Lagos , they also founded Ile-Ife But those who are experts at forgery and re-writing history will not agree Oduduwa was an exiled Bini prince , he fled persecution and went westwards. He settled at ile-ife with his entourage and the savages he met there worshipped him as a god cos he must’ve been so advanced and ahead of them they couldn’t believe their eyes . His name was Izoduwa The Aworis of Lagos are the descendants of the entourage that followed Izoduwa out of Bini and settled at Ile-ife. Their original dialect was a mixture of Bini and some of yoruba they picked up at ile-ife I’m not the one saying it , the Oba of Lagos said it. Read the part highlighted in red.

FiraO9:Shut it there. The real Benins are Yoruba in history including the Oba. Oba is a Yoruba title. Oba doesn't have any meaning in Igodomigodo language that modern Bini people have adopted. Your Oba migrated from Ife. Arrogantly wants to claim superiority when Alawure of USEN (Edo state) Senior am. The Ogiso and Simon Ekpa will soon remove the Oba of Benin and returned it to OGISO where it belongs. Our history are more straight forward in Yoruba not fabricated. Lagos is in the hands of Yoruba people now but Edo people should learn to tell their history factually 4 Likes 1 Share |

Re: . by Mraphel: 6:40am On Nov 28, 2023 |
FiraO9:You can never call people in the south west rodent that's where your father and mother migrated from including your Oba of Benin. If you disrespect the South west na Oba of Benin head you are cursing and it will backfires on you. Learn to be respectful of the South West. We founded up to 20 towns that are in Edo state now. Go and learn your history. We own the Oba of Benin. More history and revelation will come soon. 3 Likes 1 Share |

OVB123:Before Oranmiyan came to Benin. it was Ijaw, Igbo, Esan, Urobos that were ruling that Land as OGISO. Oranmiyan (warrior and Prince) took Egor from them and started ruling changed Egor from Ogiso to " Oba" renamed the town from Igodomigodo to Ile- ibinu" he even left to continued his ruling in Ife. The SW and other regions are watching Oba of Bini. If he disrespects Yoruba ( which he can never) it will only take a small boy to take up his throne cause his not an Aborigines of Igodomigodo. 2 Likes 1 Share |

CodingSoft: You are right. Lagos was created by Benins. The Benins created the Lagos Lagoon, the Seas, the Rivers, even Sky, the Cloud, and on the 7th day, created the men and women living in Lagos. You think Lagosians have time to start arguing with a less developed group of people? Nooo Noooo. Our interest is Owambe Parties, we eat, we drink, our Musicians play and we dance and spray money, then we go home with Oloshos who probably will be Benin girls who are children of those who created Lagos. 1 Like |

The Benin skirt wearing Oba has set the 2027 Lagos election battle in motion. The Yorubas would even become fiercer in protecting their heritage in the next election. The oba just gave the Yoruba conservatives more bazooka and rocket launcher to use in upcoming elections. 1 Like |

It's common sense. Ife was the first yoruba civilization and was founded by oduduwa. But the history books also claim oduduwa killed obatala, the king of the ugbos, ousted the indigenous ugbo people and took over their lands. Even the ooni of ife made this claim. https://www.nairaland.com/3505157/re-ooni-ile-ife-vs-olugbo-ugbo https://www.nairaland.com/6853399/ile-ife-owned-ancestors-olugbo-ugbo The yorubas are the real landgrabbers. |
