I no kuku blame am.

When you know you no longer need people to vote for you, these are the kind of careless statements you make.

As in....very careless and insensitive talk. Yet he will say he's representing his people in the house.

U know the man so well; he was a complete failure in the corporate world.

Most of the companies he touched usually end up dead after his touch. People like him no supposed dey in position to make decisions in this country.

He is a scammer billionaire. I know him well. He runs companies aground and then flips them. He has zero management or administrative ability, and also has no empathy for the downtrodden.

Funny thing is that I was discussing this with someone yesterday, that our leaders do not have any respect for the populace and do not have any fear of the repercussions of their actions. The impunity is alarming but I guess they have their reasons.

For one, the people are divided by ethnicity and then further divided by religion so they can’t find common ground against the leaders.

Secondly, as long as they keep the military onside they will have the upper hand if things get sticky.

Otherwise a few thousand people shouldn’t be maltreating nearly 200 million people with such callousness and igboya.

I think it's the division along tribal/ethnic line that is the most effective tool used by the political class to keep the people in check. If e set normally, the military/security agencies will be overwhelmed especially if protests/riots are happening in different parts of the country at the same time. There are so many unpoliced / underpoliced places in this country.

It is just that the anarchy that would ensue will still not favour anybody. Nigeria in chaos would bring the whole of West Africa to its knees.

If you beam your search light on the their counterparts in Southwest, you will discover that they are as guilty as those of Niger-Delta or even worse off.

I have always maintained the same position as you that State Governors are the real thieves and are worse than blood sucking demons 😈. ....But this is Nigeria were we don't know our real enemies so let keep shouting FG,FG.

Well, she's a beautiful person by all standards.

And the most important thing that matters here is her happiness. The main purpose of life is the pursuit of happiness and fulfilment, so if she's happy to live this life, then nothing else matters so far she's not endangering or causing harm to anyone else.
IT'S HER LIFE.

P&G have always had it tough in the past 10 years plus. I think this model is best for them

Firstly, Pampers is not existing anymore because Moflix kicked them out of business. Even the Moflix sef is having it hot hot with all these 50 naira diapers.

Na only Always pads dey give dem ROI, and yet, all these local ones don full everywhere.

I support their Import move. The prices of their items cannot survive here at all.

The major issue for those companies switching to import-only business model is the high cost of production. The unavailability of stable electricity is a serious headache for most manufacturers. When they compute the total cost they spend on diesel , the management expense on the production staff and how much they spend on sorting different regulatory agencies like SON, NAFDAC, etc; an import-only business model seem like the way to go.

Michelin & Dunlop adopted the model after relocating production to Ghana with more stable electricity and less corrupt government agencies and from all indications it appears their decisions were the right one.

The funny thing is if Nigeria's electricity supply becomes stable, we won't need to be chasing investors all over the world; they will be begging us to invest in our country. Whichever government that fixes Nigeria's power sector will be regarded as the best ever.

True

Another issue is that these Companies have standards.

I have never seen a Chinese company relocating because of any issue. They would reduce the quality or size, to make up for it.

But these foreign guys must ensure they keep their standard and word. grin

Yeah, u know the foreign owned companies have a global brand name to protect; they want their product to be same whether u bought it in the UK or Lagos. Nothing concern the Chinese with any brand name.

Companies with global brand name to protect will find it hard to survive. I once consulted for companies in Nigeria where their foreign head office wanted to know and validate amount spent on "Facilitation fees" aka bribe

Nigerian office will just put in their books that they spent 125m on "facilitation fees" items wey no dey get receipts whether its in the form of wetting ground money, govt official bribe or payment for ransom

Also they have to maintain the standard that is acceptable in their London or America HQ, they cannot be flaring gas anyhow, they cannot be spiling waste into water

Chinese Lebanese Indian South African companies have no problem with these. If you allow them they will throw waste product inside your pot of soup

When Pampers is spending 500m for waste treatment and Moflix is just spending 500K throwing it by roadside refuse dump in Ojota, Pampers wont be able to compete on price

At a point those companies just decided to pack up Nigerian operations and just do import model to those who can afford it

Yeah

The only item we will miss is Ariel, Vicks and Always. Pampers is almost not existing anymore. The rest are not produced here. How many Nigerians fit afford Original Gillette? grin

But then, it means a large portion of job loss would happen..Factory workers o ti lo

I really feel for P&G sha

They sold their Agbara factory then and went to Oluyole.

Now, na to turn a whole factory to ordinary warehouse.

The job loss will extend beyond factory workers sef; some HR people, Finance and general admin staff will also be retrenched cos they will only need few hands to manage an import-only model. In this kind situation u will have to prove u are valuable to the company before they retain u as an admin staff.
