Acekidc4:Ironically, that was not even the first betrayal. The first betrayal was Azikiwe NCNC aligning with the North while he left Awolowo's AG nd other smaller Southern waiting for a meeting he had no intent of attending. 5 Likes 2 Shares |

raskymonojendor: Oga that lie has persisted for too long. Zik didn't betray anyone. The British gave a condition for independence that the borders of colonial Nigeria will never be touched. The election had no clear majority between NCNC and NPC and the British said whoever formed a coalition will have majority seats. The North fearing a coalition of the southern parties stated that they will not be interested if that happens. So the British favored the coalition between NCNC and NPC. Oga stop these lies abeg. |

raskymonojendor:Four years later the deluded self styled nationalist would later desperately seek a political alliance with the same AG as a refuge when the NPC had pummeled him badly to a point of no relevance. 5 Likes 2 Shares |

raskymonojendor: Oga stop lying Zik never said any of that. In the Lancaster conference Zik spike against secession and a unitary system, while Awolowo opted for secession and a federal system, mind you all of them in Lancaster signed that as a requirement for independence that the boundaries of colonial Nigeria must nod be redrawn. So was it not all of them that signed that they will not secede, why call out Zik? |

Irony1:How can I go and read such a book when you Igbos have been claiming all along that Zik led the fight against colonialism in the entire Africa to the extent that the British overlords were afraid of him? Now you claim that the same Zik was coerced by the same British to accept ordinary coalition with NPC supposedly against his will? Zik the almighty independence fighter and Pan-Africanism giant? Don't you see the contradiction? Obviously someone is lying between you who now claim that Zik was coerced into Northern partnership and other Igbos who claim that Zik was an omnipotent anticolonialist. That is the issue here. 1 Like |
