From "standing on your mandate", Tinubu's strongest and closest allies are already making a case for his failure and blaming "saboteurs" in the event that Tinubu's administration fails.

https://www.nairaland.com/7950658/hold-saboteurs-responsible-tinubu-government

Seems familiar? Same excuse Buhari's allies gave even in his first tenure when the handwriting became obvious.

You know what's even familiar and interesting at closer look? Tinubu's allies were the same as Buhari's allies so it's the same people, the same playbook, the same excuses.

------

"How are you sure we won't have the same excuses with Peter Obi?"

"What would Obi differently?"

Even if it were true, they'd be no consequence. The Igbos aren't even united to begin with. She's Imo and reminded so by other Igbos. Even in Imo, there's a disdain for Mbaise people, and their women especially.

Until Umahi, Ebonyi folks were treated like rags by other Igbos, and a lot of Ebonyi folks hid their origin. Being from Abakaliki meant being ridiculed by people in Ariaria Market, Aba as "one who eats sewage rats and backward".

Or Nnamdi Kanu not being worthy enough to lead a Biafra movement because he isn't from Anambra or Enugu which are seen as the de facto superiors or leaders of the Igbo people.

Everyone here knows the slurs different Igbos subgroups tag themselves.

Need I mention the discrimination amongst themselves during elections, civil service recruitment, episcopal leadership, and royal ascendancy due to ancestral connections to different subethnicities of the Igbo tribe?

Even if it were true, other people would continue to get away with using them as the butt of sociopolitical jokes without consequences until the instances I stated above are eliminated or reduced to the barest minimum.

The Yorubas have done this to a large extent.
The Ijaws have done this. (Warring as people like to think they are, they do not promote intra-tribal superior subethicities.)
Just a few tribes who have overcome this or have mostly overcome this.

Some know this but I can state it in my usual blunt manner, and we know it's the truth.

Yes! And I'd repeat it on any forum, the hysteria and faux outrage it'd generate regardless. We all are thinking it, most know it's the truth, but most don't want to stir the hornet's nest. I don't mind doing so sometimes.

Ask the average Anambra or Enugu guy what he thinks about the Mbiase people and Awara(?) people of Imo State, and you'd be shocked. In 2023, these people still think some subethnicities of their tribe are inferior and you think they'd unite.

Didn't you notice the argument between Okpansukka and Izu who are both Igbo weeks ago? The subethnic superiority undertones? It's just one small example.

They have to first eliminate the subethnic prejudice amongst themselves before they can tackle the intertribal prejudice.

It's controversial and it's going to make people uncomfortable, but it's the truth.

Immediately the subethnic rivalry became heated, OkpaNsukka, one of Obi's most visible and staunchest supporters, was ready to sacrifice and ridicule Obi in appeasement of Chimaroke of a party he opposed on the altar of subethnic jingoism. All that staunch support for Obi went out the window in a second and Obi was no longer the best Nigeria had to offer in 2023 in that instant of blind rage.

Soon enough, Airmark and others were quoting OkpaNsukka to mock Obi.

OkpaN.sukkaisBae:

U said his sole contribution was that he broke the circle of old politician..planted his boys thus Anambra is miles ahead of Enugu. Peter did the same in Anambra. who sabi Willy Obiano before the APGA primary?

>Which development(s) that Obi brought to Anambra & made Anambra to be miles ahead?

I want to know about those developments.

OkpaNs.ukkaisBae:

Very very interesting. If he can say that "Anambra is miles ahead of Enugu in development, so wetin Chimaroke do gan gan"? He suppose provide receipt make we see the development(s), then we compare to what Chiboy did?

See, man, I don't like to personalise this. I don't do emotionality too. You should know by now that I don't reference what I don't have evidence for. Everyone who read the back-and-forths could read the undertones.

Don't deviate from the central point with whataboutism. This isn't an attack on you but an example to buttress the argument. I don't deviate and won't. We all know what the central point is. smiley

If this is your proof of subethnic superiority undertones, then i must really overrate you much, or you clearly don't know what you're talking about so you repeat lies to pass it off as truth.

Everything we dragged that day was clearly about developments.

And here we go with the emotionality. Completely ignored the slurs other subethnicities tag on some like the Ebonyi people, Mbiase, Awara... Or why people from certain states peopled by the same tribe think themselves superior to their tribesmen based on their bio-geolocation accidents which we call "state or place of origin".

Is this the part where we do 10 pages of arguments so we can completely befuddle the viewing public and hide the points raised so far, and in the paragraph above?
Isn't that the play of women to ignore the main points while focusing on a miniscule part to emotionally blackmail? I'm immune to this.

No! When I make an argument, I only focus on the main point(s) and do not deviate or get distracted. Emotionality doesn't work with me. Stay on topic.

Ariaria Market boys in Aba are still ridiculing " Onye Abakaliki" even this minute. Same tribe. That's the point. End the subethnic prejudice so you have a united front to fight whatever intertribal prejudice there is.

But none of Okpa and Izzou made mention of Mbaise, Awara or any other word that may indicate any subethnic undertone in that their discussion that day na.

The only thing they were arguing about was whether Enugu was as developed as Okpa was claiming. As much as Okpa used to go off tangent, he didn't in any way make the argument about his subethnic group being superior to Izzou's

As an independent third party, the only thing I can deduce was that argument that day was that Okpa is willing to keep aside his support for Obi at the Federal level to defend his home state Enugu.

Mayor of Aba is from Anambra..
Mbaise people are one of the most educated group...(Imo has d highest literacy rate in Nigeria) They also have beautiful women everywhere.

If na politics, Imo is currently the SE governors forum chairman, a position previously held by Ebonyi under Umahi. Late Amb George Obiozor was president of Ohaneze until he passed on. Iwuanyanwu tookover from Obiozor cox Imo neva finish her tenure.

It was when he first contested I knew the wife isn't Yoruba and that she is older than him by at least 3 years.

I despise people like the guy in that video because they come with all sorts of bulllshitt when a person dies; bullshittts they can't say while the person is alive. Akeredolu has been married to the woman for over 30 years and they've enjoyed a fruitful and happy union even while he was in private practice. He has never for once made any statement that suggests the woman is taking advantage of him.

Now the man has blood cancer that took his life and a random nobody is spilling conspiracy theory about the woman being opportunistic and all sort of gibberish. If the woman believed in prayer, the man will most probably still die all the same. I remember Fayose's sister who is a strong believer who had breast cancer that year, she died eventually. The woman even celebrated her own death before she died eventually .(It was in Tribune newspaper that year)

A regards the Owo church attack confessional video, the thing looks suspicious and scripted

It's deliberate and I'd have furthered that goal if I jumped into fray. Muddying the waters is a tactics I understand too well. Women do it frequently enough for any man not to understand the benign intention.
