I've always given Bassey the benefit of doubt because of his age as that leaves room for improvement. Glad he's getting better in his defensive responsibilities sadly we don't have that ideal partner in the SE setup to help him raise his game. Ekong, Omeruo and Ajayi are to mid to be ideal foils for Bassey.

Who do you really want to pair bassey for the eagles ?

Pajero might have another plan for us though

Some of you guys let emotions envelope your takes. Where is that guy that said Bassey was better off as LB just because he and his partner leaked in 3 in their last match?

Does that still hold water?

they will tell u that Ndah and Awaziem are better than him

Even that there re far better LCB in the NPFL that are better than him 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

You really need to take a good look at yourself bro. You are already in your 40s but most times your takes are too childish and embarrassing. Come on, you can do better.

Nacho wasn't listed in Leicester squad yesterday because of injuries. It'll be painful if he doesn't go to CIV and he'll be missed. To me after Osimhen, Nacho is our only other reliable forward.

they will make u understand that bassey is preferred cus he was raised in the Uk 🇬🇧 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

The same way few insinuates that iwobi is still in the epl because he was also groomed in the Uk as well as his relevance in the super eagles which is highly influenced by his legendary uncle jay jay 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Iwobi is good and he is earning his place

Most people said he will be in the championship now but he is still at the epl starting for Fulham

I have already said this severally at the past that iwobi won’t lack epl teams

So which position or player/players (excluding the goal keeping position) in the current super eagles set up (those uncapped and not in the afcon team inclusive) do u think Npfl player/players can replace or better than?

A simple answer with names of the npfl players u wish to recommend will be appreciated

I have done that in the write up you quote..

Sodiq Ismail over Awaziem

Iwobi just behind Osimhen will win us AFCON!
I hope you see what Iwobi did today in that position in the 2nd half!
I give accurate predictions cos I watch football analytically absent of emotions! Decades of experiences too!

Just watched a video on twitter where oma akatugba talked about the relationship btw maduka okoye and the super eagles, also how he advised him to focus on his club football and that national team football can wait,
That "maduka* has at least 15 years of football.

But he also said the super eagles did not made maduka who he is.. that I strongly disagree with.

Super eagles is what made maduka whatever he is now..

My main issue with those clamoring for NPFL is that their 'advocacy' is mostly insincere and a cover to market players who they can sell to backwater clubs overseas.

If the NFF and NPFL were really rooting for local league players why don't they always spotlight and recommend the best performers for national team call ups? Instead it's always one random player wey pesin never hear before them go call. If you complain now them go wan use Mba performance in 2013 to blackmail you say but but Keshi used home based to win AFCON conveniently forgetting that 90% of our starters were foreign based pros.

charlesemeka85:
contradicting myself how? I hv more than once advised that since we don’t hv capable goal keepers in Europe that the nff and jpes should look inward to see if they can unearth a good one from the local league

Since you are making a case for the inclusion of NPFL players why not mention the names of the ones u think are better than some players u don’t rate in the current super eagles set up?

Abi na to Dey run circles here dey remind us how mba take win afcon for us 10 years ago 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Where in the post you quoted was his age ever made fun of? Growing old is a bliss but it even more when you act it.

Any idea why he was chosen to man the post against Bologna? Was the supposed first choice goalkeeper on the bench?
