When Igbo shout Igbo amaka they are not tribalist but when Yoruba sing their own praising shaming bigoted hate filled wretched igbos like you na then you go start wailing. chatinent: 4 Likes |

TimeMachine3:Stop being daft. Directors are paid staff. Funke akindele is great because she maximizes the entire film production value chain. She is the producer, director, actor and sometimes film writer(like Mel Gibson). That's how she makes her money. Tribal daftpunk. |

See wailing from pained souls Yorubas chose they want, we don't want PDP or labour in our midst we tried PDP before n know APC is miles beta. When a viable candidate came out from Labour in the perosn of Mimiko Yorubas were wiser than your hate filled fathers in Alaigbo n voted overwhelmingly for him but you see that your Pandora criminal that it will never ever be beta for nobody will vote him ever again in Yoruba. It matters little if you wail to death. You are free to glorify the failure in Ipobland but that Tinubu you hate so much we know is value here in the SW. He is definitely not the bets but compare to the Agulu oloriburuku Pandora criminal Peter Obi he is a trillion times beta. DabuIIIT: 1 Like |

Efilse:Spoken like the typical armchair entrepreneur. It's not about emotions but numbers. It takes years upon years for a country of 200m people to produce a movie that will make N1B across all distribution channels, This should tell you it's not an "investment" problem but a demand problem. Meaning the bulk of the demand for home theatre entertainment is from people that can't access modern distribution channels and are stuck with the old asaba ways, which is why the make more money. Abi how will investments help? You want dey buy TV for everybody house to install Netflix? Clown. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Alaigbo: See it takes two to tango. If you guys are not antagonising igbos with Yoruba lawa, igbos will not respond. The igbo amaka term is in response to your attacks. |
Re: Top Nollywood Movie Directors By Domestic Gross Value - Statisense by Alaigbo(m): 11:54am On Jan 06 |
So in essence when Igbo start shouting Igbo amaka on any thread it should be closed down because I don't understand why you igbos are so pained because Yorubas are celebrating their own success. Sucre7: 1 Like |

God will be the judge in this situation, if Yoruba started Yoruba lawa first on Nairaland may I die a shameful death but if igbos started Igbo amaka first on Nairaland may you die an horrifying shameful death with every member of your household this year 2024. Irony1: 1 Like |

Alaigbo: Oga no be mouth ooooo, you really don't understand the sh**t storm you want to enter. If the security agencies hold Seun and ask for details of each moniker do you think seun will not waste time to release it. Even the server logs is enough to get your IP details. |

Efilse:lol how do you invest in more distribution channels to expand access to content? Build more cinemas?lots of existing ones are even empty. E-channels?you'd still have only your existing market base cos the poor can't afford to waste N1500 for data because you're using an e-channel to serve them movies for N50. Streaming subscription?again, you need data and a proper TV to do this.Again, the masses can't afford it. So guess what?irrespective of investment,consumption/sales will cap to similar existing numbers, so why invest more? So like I said, with Nigeria's large ,poor population, The 2 segments of the industry will exist concurrently to serve different market demographics, with the asaba players making more turnover/profits/volume more than the lagos aesthetically great, fanfare counterpart. Numbers is key in business, not emotions. Mumu. 1 Like |

Irony1:Smh. Uncouth and insolent as usual. Nobody buys DVDs and DVD players again. It's now digital streaming and cinema, that's why the earnings can be recorded and tracked. It is obvious you are not on Netflix/Amazon Prime or watch films at the cinemas. Just Saro The Musicals stage play alone staged at the Muson centre I watched live was a phenomenal success with multiple sets of audience and full packed hall for each set let alone films streamed and shown at cinemas. The era of buying CDs and DVDs was thriving on piracy and that's why it's now a dying tribe. 3 Likes 1 Share |
