Fidelity Bank has been seriously undervalued over the years... I believe it's ripe time for its true value to emerge

But it's currently almost 15naira so how is it better at 10naira rights issue?

I think there is a time I read on this forum that first bank did their own @ #15 and as at that period first bank was trading above the price.

They submitted application on Jan 5th with qualification date also being January 5th?

We that are not in it cannot participate even if we join on monday. I think that of first bank should favour us now.

Very simple. The registrar will send you a mail indicating the right due you and acceptance/rejection form/link to download the form
It can be gotten on the website of the registrars.

You can also send mail to the registrar to request for it.
Whichever way, once you get the form complete it and submit with your stockbroker after funding your stock account.

Still can't see it on Ngx disclosure board so it's probably not out there yet for "us".
How manage? Time we all have to start asking the right questions to the decision makers & demanding the right things be done!!!

* There has to be a standardization on Rights issue announcements, my opinion.*
Not one company backdating when their qualification date is, one saying for them qualification date is ahead & yet another ....

I never like insurance but i have to admit some of them have done exceeding well int he last 12 months eg mansard, nem.
If you are looking for insurance stocks with huge potential then buy custodian and lasaco. I have followed them for months and i think they will do very well

Read up on the intelligent investor, the little book that beat the stock market. Watch interviews of charley munger and buffet. Follow glofolio on YouTube and the nigerian investor, download apps like investing, simple wall street, yochaa and infoware. Read nairametrics. And most importantly know the different between investing and trading. Then buy stocks both the big boys etc gtco, uba, zenith, wapco, and one or two of the sound penny stocks eg lasaco, mansard and custodian. Remember the market runs in cycles.

The consideration is not just on the price but the rights structure.
They can even decide to make the rights issue to be N1 while the latest market price is N15.

Imagine if you are told that for every 30 units held, you are allowed to buy or exercise rights to 1 unit of share at N1 per share. This also is a good deal.
This is to tell you that the understanding is in the details

I exited from it yesterday not having an inkling that a Rights issue has been declared.

Regrets?
A little bit but opportunities still abound all over the market.

If you know how these governments work, you will know that this is just aimed at clearing dangote of any allegations. He will come out cleaner than he actually is.

"ordinary shares of 50 kobo each at N10 per share based on one (1) new ordinary share for every ten (10) existing ordinary shares held as at the close of business on Friday, 5 January 2024."
One new ordinary for every ten existing ordinary ordinary shares"
That would just be a paltry gain. That's why i don't subscribe to right issues.

The right issue no make sense. What is 1 for 10. I see why the date was already closed.

The date is not yet closed. It hasn't even got approval.
What has closed is the qualification date; meaning that you're not eligible if you don't have FB shares as at 5th of January, 2024.

Fidelity shares trading at N8, suddenly it became N13 and now a rights issue for N10 is on offer.
The value for that share is surely less than N8, after the public rush to buy, it will revert to N8 after you would have paid between N10 to N13. The bank is the only person gaining.
I am happy I sold mine @ N13 plus, will buy again when it goes to N8.
