remove federal, wike will loose relevance in less than a year..

That's why wike is dancing jagaban mandate upandan because he has to keep súckin tinubus balls to remain relevant..

Anyday wey em go fall out with tinubu, na then he go kiss his political career goodbye 👋🫂 because fubara go box am man to man for state ..

U can't remove federal, na federal gan gan be Wike's base for now. That's why Fubara too will mount his guard and be on the watchout . For now , both of them carry "anybody win" for their ticket

No single individual can pocket Rivers State. The man who would have been closest to doing so is Odili, yet he couldn't.
Wike wouldn't decide who becomes Governor in 2027.
You know how complex Rivers and its politics are? There are too many dynamic and incendiary factors at play to be controlled by one man for so long. Something would have to give way.

10 years ago, nobody thought Amaechi's influenced would have diminished so much in Rivers' affairs.
Odili was the most like Tinubu of any of the South South state 15 years ago.

Amaechi was never a grassroot politician. Even as a minister in Buharis government, he never had any real influence. Couldnt deliver the governorship election to APC and the party disintegrated under his watch. This was while he was a serving minister o.

What were u expecting them to do instead? The moment he signed the agreement it means they've reached a truce na.

Why are u getting emotional with this thing ? They can't keep making threats knowing that a ceasefire has been reached by both warring sides na.

Why did the agreement not stop the protest in front of the government house?

Why did it not stop the Rivers State Elders from dragging Tinubu to court?

Why did it not stop PDP from dragging the lawmakers who left PDP to court.

Those who stopped talking did not stop talking because of any agreement. They quickly realised they are fighting a battle that has been lost.

That is ur opinion and not necessarily true .

Any other person can claim all of those things u listed up there were done by Fubara and his loyalists just to show they still have leverage in spite of the agreement signed . More like they showing they are still in the game and not down & out.

Freelers has already shown that Tinubu was ready to weild the big stick if Fubara had not signed and abide by the dictates of the agreement . U don’t expect his supporters to be the first person to break the truce na

Nobody could have delivered Rivers Governorship to APC in 2015 and 2019.

Even Akpabio, arguably the most-grassrooted politician in the region, and unarguably in the state, can't deliver the Governorship of his state to the APC, even now as Senate President.

Ask yourself why Wike doesn't want to leave a PDP weakened at the national levell. At state level, PDP is like a religion in Rivers and Akwa Ibom, even against my own wish.

Maybe he's biased. Amaechi's defection to APC weakened his influence in Rivers State politics.

He claims Amaechi isn't a grassroot polician. Same Amaechi who used to ride all over PH City on a powerbike as Governor?
Same Amaechi who fought an almost god-like Odili to take out a sitting Celestine Omehia to become Governor?
Same Amaechi who would personally supervise demolitions and constructed smart and modern schools all over?

His shortcoming was even being so loyal to the grassroots; he awarded road contracts to indigenous contractors who embezzled the monies and did shitty jobs or skipped on the contract executions.

Defecting to APC and his arch-role in bringing down Jonathan are cardinal sins the whole Niger-Delta wouldn't forgive. It had nothing to do with him being a grassroot politician.

Wike was just an enforcer for Odili and Patience Jonathan. Amaechi played grassroots from day one as a student activist.

This is funny.

Fubara himself was still taunting Wike after the agreement was signed that what they wanted was the red pen and they didn't get it. He was even publicly gyrating to the dey your dey song

But his emergency supporters who were on all radio and TV stations suddenly decided not to speak after the agreement when the man himself has not stopped talking.

Meanwhile, loyalists of Wike have been talking. A local government chairman even called Fubara a mumu man. This is after the agreement you want us to believe has stopped the others from talking.

If that agreement had gone the way they wanted, they would have been every where gloating and celebrating the "death" of Wike.

Okay, So what u are saying is that u expected Fubara's supporters to be going from one radio station to the other issuing threats to Wike, calling him derogatory words and daring him to do his worse? To what end?

The Fubara u are saying is taunting Wike is doing so because he knows he got the longer end of the stick as far as the cause of the brouhaha was concerned. He was about to be impeached, he made a move that made him escape the impeachment and for now he has the word of the GCFR that he won't be impeached as far as he sticks to his end of the agreement.

So what do u want his supporters to do? They should go on the offensive? Over what exactly ?

It seems ur bias for Wike is not making u see things for what they are. Obviously Wike will win the war if he plays the long game and wait things out, but till then Fubara still has the red biro in his front pocket.

Is this worse than Wike handing over POs votes to Tinubu? Did the same people you say wouldn't forgive Amaechi not threaten to punish Wike in the governorship election after he rigged Tinubu in by voting against Fubara? What now happened?

Governors are just as powerful as the structures they control. Immediately they turn against those structures, their powers diminish.

The connection to the grassroots in Rivers and Akwa Ibom is PDP. The thugs, the most powerful ward leaders, the village heads, the youth leaders, the paramount leaders... These people might twist for national politics but at the state level, they are fiercely loyal to the PDP.

Imo wasn't APC. We know how Hope Uzodinma came to power and the opposition he faced. But he had 4 years of oiling the machinery. Even on election day, he had to use other means to escape the jaws of defeat.

Again, I ask, why do you think Wike kicks against any attempt at removing him from the PDP and has never declared loyalty to the APC, but only says he's loyal to Tinubu?

Why do you Akpabio refused to campaign for any APC Akwa Ibom Governorship candidate last year but focused on his Senatorship and national politics?

Answer the last two questions.

Fubara wanted to impeach the speaker and take out the local government chairmen by appointing caretaker committee, he failed. Wike wanted to impeach Fubara and he failed.

None of them have won the short term war. Wike is poised to win long term.

Punishing Wike would have been punishing themselves. The alternative would have been allowing the APC win at the state level since Fubara is a PDP candidate.

Same reason dislike for Udom Emmanuel wasn't going to affect Umo Eno's chances. The alternative was the APC taking over.
The LP candidates in both states were weak; so weak Obi didn't acknowledge their existence.

Wike knew this, Udom knew this. The people weren't going to bite their nose to spite their face.

You just explained the problem with Amaechi. Wike directed his henchmen to work for APC and they did. That was turning against the structure but the structure still went with him. Amaechi asked his henchmen to vote for Atiku, how did that turn out?

I don't know why Wike has not left PDP. My guess is that he won't have the sort of power and control he has over PDP on APC.

I agree with BlueRayDick that Itsrm is just emotional about it.

2 years is a whole lot of time to change the narratives of any state politics.

Imo and Ebonyi are poor examples, because the governors then (Rochas and Umahi) defected, having a lot of time to change all unchangeables.

If Tinubu had shown his cards in 2017, Ambode won't have lost, or at least, easily. Tinubu waited till it was late; a kind of wisdom Wike does not have

I can't say if Fubara will be relevant then, but saying only death will make Wike irrelevant is funny.

Everyone was for Southern presidency. You and I know this.

Amaechi orchestrated and funded for two years the process which brought down a Niger-Delta man - a man who would even be considered a Rivers man, Jonathan. Wike kicked insisted on Southern presidency. Two contexts.

I don't know why Wike has not left PDP. My guess is that he won't have the sort of power and control he has over PDP on APC.

Wike wouldn't leave the PDP for obvious reasons. The Rivers structure he has built and which exists is PDP. The moment he suspected Fubara went after that PDP structured, he fought back. He cares little for the APC structure and who controls it.

Wike would loudly declare he's still a PDP member but never declares he's an APC member. The moment he does, he loses the Rivers structure. Exactly what his detractors are goading him to do - declare himself an APC member so the takeover would be complete.

2years still far and Wike showed his hands early which gives Fubara enough time to maneuver

If Tinubu don begin fight Ambode openly from 2015, Ambode could have used his governor power to buy support in those 2yrs before reelection, Na the shock factor few months to election catch Ambode by surprise because he was depending on the Tinubu structure before he could rally his own people the game was already over

It's actually possible that Fubara steals the delegates votes come to think of it. If he can corner the Ijaw delegates 100% and buy off some from the other tribes, he can win. What we don't know is how the delegates are apportioned between tribes
