Psittacus: The problem with you is accountability. Be responsible for your mistakes and stop throwing useless grammar around. Instead of you to take corrections and apologize for misquoting me you went ahead to insult me...this is crazy |

Technically with ball to feet Osimhen is poor. This shouldn't breaking news to anyone that has watched him play even one game. He is not a Berbatov, João Felix, etc What makes him one of the best is the combination of his ridiculous work rate, pace, pressing, aerial ability and just hustling. These create goal scoring chances in every game. However, his finishing is average (neither great nor poor). He's most definitely not a Lewandoski, Kane, Benzema or Haaland etc. He will miss more chances than he scores. He always has... 6 Likes |

COOL10:How many key passes did he make to his forwards? Too lazy to mark, press or pursue the ball. Gets lost in midfield. Easily gases out. |

It will be tough against Ivory Coast but the super eagles will play better. I really hope Alhassan’s injury isn’t a serious one. 2 Likes |

Funny enough this game could have ended 5-1… Though I was really pessimistic about our chances before the game, I think this team need to just score their chances and grow more confident, we might we might just have something… |

Omanambala:He doesn't attack Nwakali. He attacks the hype and justifiably so. Cos though I have repeatedly said Nwakali should be invited so we judge from his performance, the way some people praise him to high heavens like he's Zidane certainly makes others to raise eyebrows. 4 Likes |

MetalJigsaw: I just told you that he created at least three goalscoring chances for his teammates, which they all missed. What else do you want from a CAM? The number one job of a CAM is to create chances for his teammates, and that's exactly what Iwobi did. If his teammates had scored, by now, we would have been praising him for his assists. The problem was not Iwobi; the problem was his teammates( Osimhen and co) who failed to score the chances he created for them. Iwobi did well. 5 Likes |

Not a bad game. Sometimes first match dey be like that. Kindly judge us against ivory coast. Na then, make we know what's up. Impressed with Lukman, Nwabili, yusuff, iwobi. Just there, are Osimhen-- can do better, definitely. Semi- I like his height. Sanusi - Aboki-ball. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by ThunderFireAgba: 6:10pm On Jan 14 |
Over reliance on a sole striker caused us this game. Why should the wingers be passing to a Striker all the time? Why didn't Chukwueze shoot when he had the opportunity? And on that still gave a wrong pass to Osimhen! This shows lack of confidence and this is the driving force Why they loose focus on the final third. Except for players like Lookman and Boniface who can't play SS to any Striker because they too aim for the goal also, you can call it selfish but it builds there confidence and this also makes them lead roles in their respective clubs. That's the reason why it's hard for them to partner Osimhen. The coach should allow players to take opportunities if they are in the position to do so otherwise the opportunity will capitalize on your target and kill off that player with every opportunity. 2 Likes |

robosky02: That is a system that needs to be improved upon. I for one enjoyed the match cos I could at least see that we were not over run in the middle of the park. We took the game easy while sloppy passes were still visible. We did well. We just need to take our chances. We might not be so lucky in other games as a chance taken is what makes the difference. All it takes to win afcon is 1 nil in all games 2 Likes |

ChrisKels:I want to ask.... hope our medical team sabi dia job this time? They gave me ptsd of World cup qualifiers of last two campaigns and that stuff still pisses me off till date. Hope they know the job? Like do they know what they're doing or na connect get them the spots? We should pass that level by now. The 1st reaction to Yusuf issue was not convincing. |
