You should just go for the manual removal. For me o, I think you should be more concerned about the tools used for installation, rather than removal.

Better thing, na money kill am. As long as he has the right tools and can deliver a spotless finish...and not all these cut and join tiling we see everywhere.

To remove tiles here In west Africa and re-use it without breaking is not that possible, reason is that the materials using in laying our tiles is different to others , most tiles the OP seen the white men removed were tiled with gum cement which can be easily removed with hot blower machine and the likes.
It’s only few peoples that makes used of gum cement here
