Re: Kenyans Are Far Behind Nigerians In Every Aspect – Fani-Kayode by GeneralDae: 5:48pm On Jan 26 |
GeneralDae:From this transcript, Wode Maya speaks not just of Abuja being organized but also in terms of development, infrastructure. Earlier in the video, he already made clear that out of the four cities he visited in Nigeria, Abuja is the most developed second to Lagos. So when he also says no city in Ghana can be compared with Abuja, he is speaking comprehensively as well. Not just of organisation and greenery only but of development and beauty. It's clear Charlie. The best one can do is disagree with Wode Maya. Even some Nigerians here like forgiveness and popizaino (and a few others) may likely also disagree with him for saying Abuja is the most developed city in Nigeria ahead of Lagos. But what they would not do is try to twist his words or select them. 1 Like |

Re: Kenyans Are Far Behind Nigerians In Every Aspect – Fani-Kayode by vaxx: 9:32pm On Jan 26 |
IGpro1:it varies ogbeni, I have been hearing this nonsense quite a lot . Northern Ghana is way far cheaper than southern Nigeria ( groceries) . While northern Nigeria is actually more cheaper. Accra and Abuja are quite the same when it comes to expenses only lagos seems more cheaper 2 Likes |
Re: Kenyans Are Far Behind Nigerians In Every Aspect – Fani-Kayode by GeneralDae: 9:47pm On Jan 26 |
vaxx:You are not correct. Abuja is cheaper than Lagos in transportation (uber, bolt) and food. It only competes with Lagos in rent. I think everywhere in the South, one dollar at 890 naira would still get you a plate of Eba, Soup, and Meat. If we use the black market rate of today, one dollar at 1400 naira would still get you that even in okay restaurants. I don't know if 11 cedis can get you a plate of such food anywhere in Northern Ghana. If it can of course I am ready to learn. Also, Accra and Abuja are not even close when it comes to high cost of living. Only Lagos comes close to Accra in that in the entire Nigeria. 1 Like |
Re: Kenyans Are Far Behind Nigerians In Every Aspect – Fani-Kayode by vaxx: 10:10pm On Jan 26 |
GeneralDae:You guys love deciving yourself. An average nigerians used paragon and BRT buses( trotro in Ghana) than uber and bolt in Nigeria. Those commercial buses are way more cheaper in lagos than Abuja. A dollar is 12 cedis at average rate , that is enough for good meal in the northern Ghana. You will even eat averagely in the southern Ghana..12 cedis is probably above a 1000 naira . Abuja is more expensive than lagos . Rent, transportation , restaurant , clubs and the rest 2 Likes |
Re: Kenyans Are Far Behind Nigerians In Every Aspect – Fani-Kayode by GeneralDae: 10:19pm On Jan 26 |
vaxx:Sorry. Bolt and Uber are common in Abuja, so we are not deceiving ourselves. If it's a luxury in Accra, I can't help you there. Even with normal transportation, Lagos is still more expensive. So you don't know what you are talking about. For you to say food is cheaper in Lagos than Abuja again shows your ignorance. Abuja borders food producing Northern state with Vast lands like Niger, Kogi, and Kaduna, so how can food be more expensive than in Lagos? Stick to topics you are familiar with. You see I didn't assume when it came to Northern Ghana because I don't know. So do thesame and stop showing your ignorance. 4 Likes 2 Shares |
Re: Kenyans Are Far Behind Nigerians In Every Aspect – Fani-Kayode by vaxx: 10:28pm On Jan 26 |
GeneralDae:bolt and Uber are also common in lagos but average lagosian used Paragon buses and BRT than bolt and Uber . What is it that you don't get ? Even lagosian used okada than bolt and Uber . Making it more cheaper than bolt and Uber who used technology to charge fees. All sort of transportation are available in accra. And Uber and bolt aren't excluded. Food is way cheaper In lagos than Abuja ( the population in lagos is the basis for this reason too many farm product end up from farm directly to lagos urban market . Abuja is different . This is a fact you should know if you know how market works . Palm oil are available in the south , yam are in-between middle belt , vegetable are mostly common in the north , they all rushed for lagos shared market to have their product sell on time . You are the one with the ignorance here . 2 Likes |

ProblemChild1:In the context of it serenity as that was the pretext to the conversation. Hope the English is not to big for your pea size brain. 😂🤣 If Lagos of 18 million people can't get 200 million gallons of water through their pipes per day, what makes your think Abuja will be able to pump 150 million gallons of water as Accra? Never ever compare your undeveloped villages to Accra, they are not in Accra's league yet. 1 Like |

Re: Kenyans Are Far Behind Nigerians In Every Aspect – Fani-Kayode by GeneralDae: 5:51am On Jan 27 |
Just30:Nah, this is the full context below. What that guy did was cut and join. Wode Maya started by speaking of "development and everything". He was even asked before this, what city is the most developed in Nigeria? and in his opinion he ranks Abuja no 1 ahead of Lagos. He then goes on to describe Abuja and why he feels so. He listed things like beauty, organized, serenity, traffic, everything on point and even infrastructure at the end. What else do you think he left out in the entire context? He didn't try to say Lagos is better than Abuja in some aspects but Abuja is better in serenity only. Nah, rather Abuja is his most developed Nigerian city. Period. It can only compare to Kigali aside Kigali's cleanliness. This means to Wode Maya, Kigali is more developed than any Ghanaian or Nigerian city aside Abuja. Simple as ABC. This is the quote in full context: " I saw Abuja is different in terms of development. I think they took their time to develop Abuja. So when you go to Abuja you'll see that everything is like on point, everything in Abuja is on point like the road system, the traffic system, and everything. It's not like Lagos, if you go to Lagos, everything is here there. But Abuja is like organized, I don't know how to explain like I don't know any city in Ghana I can use to compare Abuja, no no. It's like well organised, let me say Abuja is something like Rwanda Kigali but Kigali is cleaner than Abuja but that's the only thing I would say, Kigali was cleaner than Abuja but Abuja was beautiful, green, it's like a green city, infrastructure"... |
Re: Kenyans Are Far Behind Nigerians In Every Aspect – Fani-Kayode by Just30: 6:09am On Jan 27 |
GeneralDae:Because Abuja is not quite there at Accra's level yet. Since we all know that Kigali is quite underdeveloped just like Abuja, there's quite an understanding as to why he compared both. Infrastructure wise, Abuja does not have as much paved roads as Accra, neither is it greenery than it as the Green city index has shown, does not have as much water supply or electricity supply as Accra, does not come close to Accra on health or sporting infrastructure or entertainment infrastructure. You see where I'm going .....now you can continue to make noise All the above are based on facts 1 Like |
Re: Kenyans Are Far Behind Nigerians In Every Aspect – Fani-Kayode by GeneralDae: 6:16am On Jan 27 |
Just30:Well that is your opinion. Wode Maya uses the word development at the beginning and ranks Abuja his most developed Nigerian city. So he was clear on what he was talking about in the context of Nigeria and Ghana. I'm sure if he was asked to compare Abuja and Capetown for instance, he would have put some qualifiers to say Capetown is more developed but Abuja is quieter and stuff like that but in thinking of Ghana and Nigeria, it is clear he considers both Abuja and Kigali as up there. You can disagree with Wode Maya but it is his opinion. Also can you give me the data that shows Accra has more paved roads than Abuja? Because that seems unbelievable. |
