Angolans are quite good. I always rate Burkina Faso highly anytime and Angola beat them 2-0. Their captain Fredy is their inspiration, the guy is quite smooth and set things rolling for them in the middle. (Onyeka should help destroy his rhythm) We have a score to settle with Palancas Negras. That 2006 paro, we will revisit again. |

After our first goal was disallowed We refused to keep our head down We kept coming at them Big big kudos to Osimhen for pressing that Gonzalez guy, dispossessing him and laying on a beautiful assist for Lookman Osimhen didn't score but was immense yesterday A true monster machine! After the match, the whole stadium, including the players were singing his name! Even drogba came to greet him! Victor Osimhen! What a player! 17 Likes 2 Shares |

Again, JPes got his tactics spot on! I was once a critic of his But today, I give him his respect Thank you JPes for such entertaining football We played with urgency and purpose yesterday Ekong pocketed Magry Even their so called big names in midfield were neutralized They couldn't play crosses They Tried Zaidu's flank in first half, no joy Switched to Aina's flank in second half, still nothing Thank you JPes Collect your flowers! 16 Likes 1 Share |

Neobulletzz: That has changed. If a player is behind the keeper, the player becomes the last man. And the keeper is seen as a player. You could see it didn't take the referee time to blow offside when he checked VAR.. |

Before the Nations cup, all were in awe of our attacking arsenal. Funny thing is, we are the best defensive unit so far. 4 matches, 3 clean sheet. - 1goal(only) We still create a number of chances going forward. Nwabali might just win keeper of the tournament, by virtue of almost non existent goal conceded if we keep it up. Great game everyone. 6 Likes 1 Share |

daveP: Very good display. He got tired but still effective. He was able to contribute to the second goal. The bench team understands why they could not substitute him. I am beginning to think players who played early in European academies have a better technical understanding. Look at the second goal, all starting from Bassey winning a freekick, and then himself, lookman and Iwobi doing the job to score the second goal. That was beautiful. 17 Likes 1 Share |

daveP: Football is all about good days and bad days. His presence alone means alot regardless if the performance was great or not. If you noticed Iwobi was defending and attacking The opponents will always factor Iwobi as a threat so far he is on that pitch. 5 Likes 1 Share |

Try sitting on the bench for that long after being Number 1 for so long and you would know why. Nwabali happened to Uzoho. ChrisKels: 2 Likes 1 Share |

I greet this house in the name of the Lord. I am late and I am sorry. But I am here and what a weekend it is for Nigeria. Peseiro, who I don't rate, has produced the best defensive setup I have ever seen the Super Eagles execute in the last couple of years. Kudos to him. 35 Likes 3 Shares |

He got worse. All 3 long balls, no one completed. In other words, all 3 passes out from goal kicks ended up reaching no one. This is worse than before. ChrisKels: 1 Like 2 Shares |

Already explained through the GoodJoe who was kind enough to bring my reply here. I appreciate him for that. My schedule sef shock me. When I saw us in the first game, I was like... Peseiro is doing something different. Finally listening. Finally playing a 3 man midfield. Then when I saw the next game vs CIV with Alhassan out and JPes went 343, I knew that is the formation we would be using going forward. The perfect formation to utilise the personnels of this team. TheSuperNerd: Our defence has been our biggest influence on our clean sheets and turning opponents into clueless entities but Osimhen has been our biggest influence on the match outcomes. Substitute Uzoho for Nwabali in that comment and you see it is true. Nwabali has also been immense to our buildup plays and defensive structure. Finally, Without Osimhen, Nigeria would be playing penalties. A true warrior 9. My Monster Machine. The Best Pressing Forward on Planet earth and in the entire universe. 19 Likes 2 Shares

Good morning house Hope you'll enjoyed the gift the super eagles gave yesterday? Special appreciation to > Osimhen, lookman, Aina, bassey, Ekong, frank the tank, the coach, The bench, and the fans at the stadium for their undying support.. Congratulations to Nigeria, unto the next round. 😇😇 2 Likes 1 Share |

I'm good namesake. Peseiro who I never rated going into the tournament is the same one giving me reasons to be excited. What happened? He dropped that silly 442. It was risky wating till this afcon to try a 3 man midfield for the first time but it worked. It was worth it. But trying the 343 is the true masterclass change I was waiting for. I suggested it much earlier that we should be going 3421 under JPes with the players we have on board and with Nwakali not in the picture. 3421 is 343 but with the wingers playing much closer to Osimhen. So far, it is lookman who seems to understand the assignment of playing closer to his pointman. daveP: 3 Likes 2 Shares |

Shout out to Frank "The Tank" Onyeka for yesterday's performance. It is his best I have seen in a long while in the GWG. He was waiting for a Cameroun to show what he finally brings to the team. His energy, his power, his never-say-die roaming and player tracking. This Guy was tailor made for games like these. In games like these, I won't be needing an Nwakali. I would need a warrior CM who can hassle, roam, hack down and dominate duels easily. Every player has games that suit them. Onyeka was everywhere and damn... He even had a better MF showing than iwobi yesterday. Iwobi was good. But he stayed too deep and hardly joined Lookman and Osimhen. The one big chance he had to join them up top finally, he fluffed it. But take nothing from him, he was the ying to Onyeka's yang. He worked hard in midfield and kept our passing sequences tidy in the middle albeit from his deep role. 9 Likes 2 Shares |

Koboko99:yeah, lookman "the man of the match" spare headed the celebration of osimhen, by jumping on him and rubbing his head before other players came.. the chemistry in the team is so so sweet, long may it last "Amen" |

Angola has a much better attack than Cameroun. They have sharp shooters as well. But then they would be up against the absolute best defensive unit at this Afcon and would have to deal with the energy of our midfield and the Fear factor of Osimhen. It would be another tough game but we must take our chances. And Nwabali must play. I don't want Uzoho in goal knowing Angola can shoot from any angle. ChrisKels: 6 Likes |
