E get people wey suppose give chance for this team after this Afcon Aribo, Ojo, Uzoho, Onuachu, Sadiq Umar suppose clear road small make Ndidi, Okonkwo, Okoye, Boniface and Gift Orban Show face. Taiwo Awoniyi should return too. And we need a left back if we're going to continue playing this formation. Zaidu Sanusi doesn't have the brains and Calvin Bassey doesn't have the lungs. This should also be Ahmed Musa's swansong. 6 Likes |

The coach has done well to bring the team written off by many to the semis but the games left are going to be demanding. The next opponents have a lot to analyze about this side and set up to stifle the team. We presently do not have a player in the starting IX deadly with shots outside the box...The SE's low block has been a clickbait inviting the opposing team to play a high line when attacking thereby leaving spaces to exploit particularly on a quick break. Thankfully, none of the teams left have shown enough defensive discipline to counter that set-up. Hopefully, we don't concede first in any of the remaining games cos it will require something different from the usual approach to get a result from that situation. 6 Likes |

Curtisaxel17: You are right but about Osimhen's re-entrance yesterday, it was important because his replacement was taken more longer time than necessary so he had to go back into the pitch to cover some spaces while waiting for Onuachu to be ready. It had nothing to do with big star power. 7 Likes 1 Share |

Marjoribanks:I'm surprised when people say Angola is the toughest match we have played, they should go watch the both Guinea game. Against Bissau is was a psychology thing, they just beat Nigeria not too in our home, so that believe was still there that they can do it again. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Thank God nobody has said that shii that Bobo Nwabali hasn't been tested. Boy has something like the most clean sheets in the Psl with 7 in 14 games. His Afcon form is no fluke. He retains the number 1 shirt for the Super Eagles for the next 4yrs atleast. He's likely to captain this team at some point in future, that's how relevant he's made himself. Thanks to Peseiro for listening to the voice of reason. The next to be incorporated is Nwakali. 3 Likes

daveP: The last time they won the tournament, most people were following it over a radio. It must be horrific to have won 4 AFCON tournaments in a time when it barely had coverage, only for your opps to carry it in the social media era. They will be sick! |

Princezibk: His early matches for us were shaky, but it was most likely because he was just coming in and wasn't familiar with the setup yet This is why I was so mad at Eguaveon when he started him against Ghana for that crucial World Cup qualifiers, and any attempts to wash Eguaveon of the foolishness of his decisions will not be condoned. Lookman had just switched allegiance to Nigeria in February of that year, and by March, you fielded him against Ghana for a crucial World cup match? Is that not carelessness? You knew we were playing our toughest rivals in Ghana, yet, you decided to start this newly minted English-born and bred boy that barely knew the lay of the land to face tested African warriors. Lookman and Calvin had barely been welcomed to the Super Eagles when Eguaveon threw them into a blazing fire and they rightly got burnt. We had players that were Nigerian-born and bred or had at least played African football enough to know how to play Ghana, yet, Eguaveon dropped them for Lookman, Dennis, Bassey, all new cats. It was a foolish thing to do and Nigeria paid for it. 2 years later, these same players that faltered against Ghana are flying in AFCON because they have gathered the necessary experience. 11 Likes 2 Shares |
